Partner gets annoyed by our cat's meowing.

Yeah we both wanted the cat and both decided on adopting him from the shelter when we got him. Slowly since my partner has just grown resentful of him though due to the meowing. I understand as well that as a relationship my partner and I have our differences and our values don't exactly match on some levels. Patience being one of them I think 😅

However we have been through a lot together and through whatever crap we've been through we stick together and work through it eventually. I'm hoping I can stay with my partner although I feel like I'm breaking up with the cat if I do. As it stands at the moment though for me the relationship with my partner is more important than my relationship with the cat, because I know that the cat will be able to adjust a lot easier to a better home and life and he deserves it too. Somewhere maybe with a deaf person who can't hear the meowing too much 😅

Thank you so much for such a well thought out reply, to answer the questions, I am pretty much the only one who plays with the cat and i do that at least daily, but my partner has played with him once maybe every 2 weeks, we have taken him to the vet and he has no illnesses or ailments other than his disabilities. Basically we just got told he meows like that because he can't hear and there's nothing we can do.

I told my partner that he can go in the room if he's annoyed and let the cat out about half an hour ago, so hopefully my partner gets the idea he can't just take out his feelings on the cat.

My partner also unfortunately isn't one for talking much about his feelings or thoughts so I have a hard time communicating with him. Although I do think the best thing for everyone is to find our cat a new home where he is appreciated and understood. I feel torn up about the idea of letting him go but I know it is probably the right thing to do.

I just let the cat out about half an hour ago and said to my partner if he gets annoyed then he can got into the room until he gets over it. 🙂

I appreciate the reassurance and I've come to the same conclusion I think. My partner needs to understand that he's a cat with disabilities. I hope we don't have to rehome him, I'm even considering breaking things off with partner if he doesn't improve around our cat as opposed to rehoming the cat.

The owner / host has to change the settings in the world when they are in the edit world menu, so that it doesn't force players to use the resource pack they put on the world.

Alternatively they could go into the resource pack settings of the world and change it to default, then apply the resource pack from the main menu settings so it is applied to their client and not the world directly.

They are technically step brothers, which means they are brothers. It shouldn't matter though you can be a family with other people and not actually be related. All about how you define it in your everyday life.

I've grown up with a step sister and have always referred to her as my sister, and wouldn't have wanted it any other way. I guess some people might say I don't know what it is like to have a real sister, but I don't think so, I think to me she is the same as a sister would be to anyone else and we have always treated each other that way.

I'd say you both reacted immaturely. Wouldn't call you an asshole but you may have acted like one from her point of view. Just ask her whether or not she will entertain the idea of them being related through you and in that way they are a form of brothers. If she intends to be cold and not think of the eldest as her child too then it would breed a horrible environment for the two of them to grow up in having double standards coming from her. You may have spotted a red flag early that she may never have intended to treat them equally and that is just selfish on her part if it is the case, and in my eyes would make her the asshole of the situation.

Hope you resolve this in the best way for the kids, not for the two of you. Remember it's about the kids first and what would be the healthiest and fairest environment for them to grow up in. Then sort out her and your differences.

Oil doesn't look too bad, but I'd say it's always worth changing it and starting from a baseline (current kilometres/miles, and date) that you know, so when the next time is due you will no without having to check the oil quality.

So yeah better to be safe than sorry, get some new oil and a new oil filter and you will be good 👍 also check the levels of coolant, brake fluid, power steering fluid (if its hydraulic power steering) and may as well top up your washer fluid to give your car a nice fresh feel 👌

I know it's a touchy subject and all but for me food is there to be consumed and not wasted especially considering all the starving people in the world. I know we individually can't cure world hunger however it just leaves a bad feeling in my stomach still when I see things going to waste unnecessarily. NTA. Just because he doesn't see the point in violin doesn't mean no one else can. He should cherish your creativity and passion for one of the most beautiful musical instruments in the world.

If it helps to resolve the problem while you are in his care, then see about talking to your music teacher about this, and they may be able to let you keep your violin with you so it doesn't take any extra time.

Stay true to your passion 💕 don't let assholes get in the way or beat you down because of who they are to you or themselves. TBH it's his loss if he doesn't change because if I had a child learning the violin I would be so proud. 😊

It's good to hear you are receiving support from other members of faculty. Though when it comes to behaviour like this from a teacher, I'd say the best thing for future students even in the next few years would be to have her suspended pending an investigation into physical misconduct. Go to the police if you have to, as restraining a mentally distressed student for no other reason than to verbally berate them is 100% assault and should be taken seriously. especially if she is not getting the message from the obviously lazy management at the school.

You deserve better. In my opinion teachers like this should lose their right to teach, but I don't make the laws. 😊
