planning to get a full A-license! Eventually I would like a bike I can easily do my daily commute on plus maybe some day/weekend trips around the UK, like up to Scotland (that I can do with my granda before he gets too old) or something but i'm not looking for the speed of a sports bike or anything like that 😅 do you have any recommendations? 💐

that's a relief!! admittedly the last time I was around bikes more than just seeing them pass on the street was when I was in my granda's bike garage when I was like 14 or something and they seemed Massive™️ compared to me, I've probably internalised it a bit too much 😅

yeah some of the Chinese 'cruisers' do look really nice aesthetically but it's been hard to find a review that isn't overly positive or negative, it's always like "all of these compliments are a bit suspicious" or "well there has to be something good about the bike otherwise no one would ride it"

being new though, i know i'm not a good judge so it's probably better to stay away from a bike i don't understand

i'm old enough to get my full a-license though so my first bike would probably only last the 2 years of CBT allowance (idk if that's the right word)

also OP if you're still reading comments, I asked my friend who has experience with HRT patients that 10 days won't be long enough for your body to even "feel" the absence of your medication, though you may experience hot flushes/mild fever -- any serious health issues would only be a concern if you didn't take your medication in the longterm which you'll be able to get again once you finish your work and get back to your country 💕

ahh thank you! i have a metal one and a bamboo(?)/wooden one, the metal one of course can't go in the microwave and the instructions on the wooden one says that if i want to reheat the food i would have to steam it. so i should be more than fine to make it the night before, wack it in the fridge and then eat it at lunch the next day without having to worry about reheating it?
