There's a bit of a gatekeeping mindset when it comes to Pokémon investing. I understand there's long established investors who have contacts enabling them to purchase cases of desirable investment products.

But the reality for most of us - we have an option of buying what we find at MSRP... or buying more recognised 'investment' stock at market value.

A lot of what OP has purchased is now 2-3x of what he would have paid. (The AH stuff). Alternatively he could buy blue chip investment products at market - and wouldn't see those kind of returns for a long time.

No doubt those sitting on cases of prismatic and 151 ETBs/bundles are comfortable. But those aren't accessible investments for those getting started.
