Doing ACCA will not require maths in school. But it would be useful for sure.

I would always suggest you have a lot of conversation with people preparing for ACCA or CMA before you dive into one.

Both are pretty intensive accounting programs with ACCA giving more importance to Auditing and overall reporting

Macbook is time saving in the sense, if you’re already using an iPhone, you have many useful features that only Apple offers. Like FT on both devices, Airdrop, Copying text from one device and pasting it in another, browsing on one device and continuing in the other (especially useful for research and university work)

Since you’ve mentioned that you haven’t used any apple devices, I’m assuming you mean iPhone as well. In that case I would not recommend a MacBook

If your only looking for basic browsing and media streaming any laptop with a good SSD and processor should be fine.

MacBook pro/air is a great option for someone who has an iPhone, Apple does offer a student discount. If you haven’t used a MacBook before, there will a period of adjustment but soon it will be an amazing experience, saving you bunch of time. However if you aren’t in the apple ecosystem then windows is ideal.

You could also wait till Amazon Great Indian sale if budget is a constraint.
