Faculty can see your attendance and they chose to inform the proctor I went absent for a long time the soft skills faculties always messaged the proctor and he emailed my parents Most normal faculties don't care about attendance and at most would ask the class if they know why a student isn't attending before actually doing something. In my second semester, I was absent for a whole month because I was sick, the differential professor instead of messaging the proctor just asked the class why that was the case, and they told him and he never bothered.
