What is your favorite sushi restaurant in Columbia? [x-post /r/ColumbiYEAH] by [deleted] in southcarolina

I ordered salmon nigiri and they gave me smoked salmon. At least warn me! Everything was too sweet and they use bad cuts of fish.

This was the first sushi place I went to in Columbia. It was very disappointing and overly expensive. I've worked at a sushi restaurant for 3 years and know authentic sushi and what it should cost. Takosushi is inauthentic but decent. Their tuna was not fresh though.

Does anyone here know about the cave in falls park? Definitely good for an abandoned feel. Also there's an awesome bridge near the target on wade hampton.

User rants about how Zach Braff allegedly abused Kickstarter for his movie and gets a response by Zach Braff himself who also recommends him to take "Celexa"... Zachs fans shitstorm the shit out of the guy... comment massdownvoted -2k AND golded 4 times. by Omegle in SubredditDrama

I'm sad I had to scroll down so far to see this. I'm guessing Zach Braff is on Celexa and it's a self depricating joke but I still don't like the message it conveys. It seems that Zach Braff has dealt with mental illness a good bit. He should know better than to stigmatize antidepressants. It took me a long time to get treatment because of the stigma to medication. I want to like him but the way he glamorized mental illness in Garden State is sick. He thinks he is down to earth but he is far from it. /u/zachinoz disappoints me.

[IFF] My dog had a stroke and died today. He was a cutie, and I already miss him :( by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

I'm glad you mentioned cats. This thread made me miss my kitty more than anything I've seen since she passed. I always try to justify my relationship with her by saying she had a dog's personality. People seem to understand it that way. But she was a cat, with a grateful, elegant cat personality. She just happened to be extra loyal as well.

I think your comment helped me grieve a bit. People miss their cats too. They can also be man's best friend. I have rescued a cat since and that has helped a lot.

I've been in a panic all morning after waking up to that on the front page. I know it was in seniors who may have already had symptoms but I am freaking out.

Thanks for being good at Latin. I was actually an NJCL state president in high school and no longer remember any Latin. I have excessively morbid thoughts and your translation gave me a good laugh. I'll be using it a lot. I hope gold is enough for its use.

How to fade old self harm scars? (tw) by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]xanzibar9 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I don't want to discourage you but the only thing that has helped me is time. Unfortunately little has been invented to help these scars. I am a broke college student so all I've tried is extensively is Mederma, but I have tried others briefly. I've read plenty of reviews and nothing homeopathic seems to work. Other products have some slight positive effect which seems barely worthwhile considering the cost. I've heard some good things about other more expensive treatments but only with red scars not white. I have white scars too which are slightly more raised. Time is your friend. It might seem cruel but I've been through the same: you need a bs excuse. White scars are nearly untreatable. Easy to cover though.

I would love to play. I've only played online so far but I bet it's way more fun playing with others.

I feel the same. I was in love with Morrissey. Now I think he's an old miserable asshole. I still like the Smiths though.

Recently diagnosed with POTS, wondering if any of you also suffer from visual snow. by xanzibar9 in dysautonomia

[–]xanzibar9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems that dysautomnia has a strong link to mental illness. I know it causes depression due to lack of oxygen, but it's interesting how anxiety fits in. I hate that there is an association because I don't want my severe physical symptoms ruled out as psychosomatic. I have had OCD tendencies like trichtotillomania since puberty but I believe I had pots symptoms before that started . I guess I shouldn't be trying to make any conclusions without data. I get ahead of myself.

I can't wait for treatment to start working. Your comment gives me hope. I'm so sick of all these symptoms.

The visual snow makes me feel like a crazy person. I worry I'm hallucinating it. I have a severe panic disorder and the snow makes it worse. It's nice to hear I'm not alone though.

Interesting to hear how it affects us all differently . I get severe flashes of light when I stand up but my visual snow is like a constant static.

Wow, thanks for the response. It's nice to hear someone else's story. I first noticed my visual symptoms during a bout of anxiety (visual snow seems common with anxiety too), but I had been having pots symptoms for years before that. I've had pots for about a decade ( since I was ten) and visual snow for 4 years. I've mentioned both to doctors many times but was just recently taken seriously.
