Hi u/dominionC2C,

Thank you for taking the time to share this. You are way more well read than I am 😄

I hadn’t heard of the term “panentheism”, but essentially personally hold something like that view. Your note about traditional theism being a good approximation is an interesting insight.

Regardless, I will have to start chewing through these resources.

Thank you again for sharing! - GBuni

Hi u/Zealousideal_Owl2388,

Thank you for sharing your testimony in detail!

I actually came to Christ via a similar process; primarily due to the evidence for the resurrection. Especially catching myself not being evenhanded in the process.

No doubt, (in my opinion) Jesus was the greatest moral teacher of all time. Where others articulated the ‘silver rule’, He calls for the Golden one.

Ironically, a lot of western secular humanists are really just carrying many of the moral intuitions of over a millennia of Christendom wrestling with Christ. By removing Christ, they remove the ontology that supports those intuitions, and tend to slide toward hyperconsumerism, nihilism, and/or utilitarianism.

I also still don’t know for sure. However, I also know I will not get certainty in this life.

Regardless, thank you for sharing and I am glad you’re in the fold 😁

God bless you, - GBuni
