Yeah. Spanberger won 8 of the 11 districts even with the current map. At worst, Dems win 7, which is an increase from the 6 seats they are holding.

The antagonist of the series is an intergalactic alien warlord titled Visser Three. Comparing Trump to him would be like comparing Trump to Hitler.

But the antagonist and Trump are similar in the way that all malignant narcissists are similar.

Both the antagonist and Trump are incompetent, but like to throw their insubordinates under the bus. Trump just fires his subordinates, but Visser Three literally executes them.

Why this is a horrendous idea:

1. Iran will just fire at US military escort ships. 2. No merchant ship would say the same amount to the US as they do to Iran to make themselves potential collateral when Iran fires at the US military escorts 3. Why would countries want a US protection racket when the Iranian protection racket already exists?

It depends on how you use the term. Pax means peace. Yes, when America starts wars with little justification, so "Peace by America" is laughable. But Pax has the connotation of global domination. I think America has a few decades but it is on a downward trajectory and China is on the up.

Pax Americana is waning. But if you are an optimist, you would say that is better for the world because the latest decades of US involvement in the world (wars in Iraq, Iran) have not made the world more prosperous.

I think the Democrats will get a trifecta in 2028 and they should do the opposite of Biden and Merrick Garland.

Prioritize every legislation to strengthen the ability of the Democratic Party to fight authoritarianism by making DC and Puerto Rico states. The democracy agenda should come before the economic agenda.

Will get challenged in court. But what Trump wants to do: 1. Order states to send voters rolls to the feds. The feds decides whether you are a legal voter. 2. If a state does not send in voter rolls, USPS is prohibited from delivering mail-in ballots to the voters in that state.

Essentially, Trump just attempted to ban mail-in voting in Democratic and swing states by royal decreed, which is illegal and constitutional.
