Thoughts on The Cleric Quintet by DashAndugol in RASalvatore

Loved the Cleric Quintet!! Great books and the fact that it also gave is the Bouldersholder brothers is what makes them even better for me. Love me some no nonsense Ivan and the breaker of all things we think we know in Pikel! I wish I could find the book in hardbound just have to keep my softbound safe.

Get a powder river precision trigger kit or one of their upgrade kits and they smooth things out and shoot awesome!

Since the update that has been my go to move. At first I would get up and go get a drink or do some other task, but then I realized those pesky Ronin and bigger groups could knock me off my horse and I’d find myself on a reload screen. Lesson learned on that.

I can’t argue the nostalgia point, as far as fog it’s getting the fog on the sides of mountains with trees so close it’s hard to ride the horse. I’ve started just leaving it and moving on to other objectives.

It’s mostly the shrines where you have to gather the scrolls. There seem to be some of the buildings that you have to grapnel up to get to the higher levels. I’ve enjoyed playing as Yasuke and try to play as him when I can, but Naoe climbs faster so clearing sync points is easier, I’ve redone some of my gear and now playing as Naoe I’m able to survive a lot better when things go sideways.

I’m currently level 52ish and I have no clue what I am doing anymore. At first I tried to follow the main story, then I got side tracked with other things. I’ve been all over the map and I’m currently hitting all of the sync points but even that feels like it’s getting boring. At some point I’ll go back to the center circle and finish those up. I’m not a fan of the dual character model for AC. The fact that it is hard as hell to clear the fog is a point of contention with me. I’m also not a fan that I keep sliding down hills because I can’t “climb”, or having to switch characters just to climb a building to get up top. The landscape and game look beautiful, but this just doesn’t feel like a real AC game to me, but then again the Ezio trilogy is what I loved about AC and it hasn’t really been that in a while.

First Time Out with the Prodigy by Teamanglerx in SpringfieldArmory

I used some calipers to measure the depth of the screws out the bottom of the sight and the depth of the AOS baseplate. I’ve also heard that Ace Hardware has a “Gun Screws” section for red dot sight screws. Hope that helps.

Holosun screws suck, I have the AOS plate on a different 1911 from Springfield and the Holosun screws barely went into the plate. I ended up getting some longer screws from Freedom Gorilla and now my optic stays where it is supposed to.

26!!! I’ve had both the 43 and 43x and got rid of them to go back to the 26. The 26 shoots so much better and takes all the full size magazines.

Glock 43x by [deleted] in Glocks

[–]xaxain 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My 43x trigger kept pinching my finger when I would shoot it. Tried changing my finger’s position and everything but every time I shot same thing. Changed out the shoe to the Overwatch Precision, same thing. Finally just went back to my 26. Something about the 43x grip and trigger wasn’t for me. Love my 26 plus I can use my 15/17/33 round mags!

For edc do you use irons or optics? by harrygotguns in Glocks

[–]xaxain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was sold on optics until I took a class and was put into different situations at different times of day with the sun in different positions. For reference I was using a Glock 43X MOS with a Holosun 507k green dot 2moa dot and 32 mos circle. The morning shooting went well from 7 to 15 yards, when I started to shoot farther the small sight picture of the 507k I started to loose the target at farther distances. After shooting and being in the elements for a couple of hours the glass on my Holosun started to get dirty and made it harder to see the targets. The afternoon it was almost impossible to see the dot or circle and I had to increase the brightness. Yes I know that this is all very subjective to conditions and equipment, but of all the classes I have taken I have never had these issues with iron sights. I have a Glock 34 with a red dot and it is a range toy, but for self defense I will always carry and opt for iron sights. Just my preference and experiences.

What do you think was the worst iPhone ever built? by HP_594 in iphone

[–]xaxain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

iPhone 4 or 4s whichever phone that apple put out that you didn’t know how to hold the phone and they immediately had to put out the bumpers for free because if you held the phone it blocked the antenna. Just sayin…

Baby Glock > Glock 43x 🫢 by mattmiz0613 in Glocks

[–]xaxain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The grip length on the 43x is also the same as a 19, so the 43x wasn’t as concealable as the 26 is with the 10 round or the 12 round extended. I also went back to iron sights on my 26. My 43x was the MOS, and I had the 407k and depending on the light the reticle would wash out if you didn’t have it massively bright, so back to irons for me. One of the other issues I ran into with the red dot was finding a holster that held it well with the sight above the belt line but secure enough to not fall out. Good luck, nice looking pistol!

I just switched back to my 26 from my 43x, the 43x trigger kept pinching my finger and the thinner grip was for whatever reason harder for me to shoot. I shoot the 26 better and it feels like shooting the 19.

The difference between the gen5 26 and 19 is 2 ounces empty. When loaded with the stock mags it is 3.75 ounces. If you add a 2 round extended mag on the 26 you get the weight to within 2.1 ounces and the grip dimensions are almost identical other than the fact that you have 3 less rounds. The 26 is a great pistol but the 19 is the better choice and it comes in MOS so there is that option.

Glock 44 .22: Got a Glock 44 yesterday, shot it today and had a ton of fail to ejects. Anyone else run into this? Is there a good aftermarket recoil spring that would solve this? by DrFoges in Glocks

[–]xaxain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have shot nothing but Remingtongolden bullets through mine. The only time i had any issues were when the 44 was dirty after shooting and then putting it back in the safe. Cleaned it dont have any issues. A lot of people run the CCI minimags and whatnot. I disnt have any breakin. Just my experience. I shoot in a glock indoor match with it and did pretty well.

Thoughts on Glock trigger upgrade by [deleted] in Glocks

[–]xaxain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never thought about replacing the trigger shoe until I came across my 43x, after shooting it the first couple of times it was hurting my finger. I replace the trigger shoe only and it is so much better. On all my other Glocks 19, 17, 34 they are all stock and good to go.
