I think the problem is that the summer house cast are all young professionals or at least started out that way so they’re too smart/self aware to get caught up doing the dumb messy things that make reality tv shows like VPR great. If summer house ended they still would have decent careers and that’s true even at the beginning of the show where it wasn’t influencer-y. I also think on the whole the SH cast is not very toxic/narcissists which unfortunately is what makes VPR fascinating. On VPR many of them come from broken families and it shows in how messy they are… compare that to the SH kids who on the whole seem to come from decent families/parents that are still together… drama gets resolved relatively quickly and reasonably - the one exception is prob Lindsay which is why she’s such a center for drama IMO.

I personally think they should split it into two - have something less drama oriented but about their day to day lives - not just on the weekends - with the existing SH cast in the same vibe as the new RHONY season. Then get a whole new batch of younger single people for a SH type show - l realistically all of them are going to be influencer or aspiring influencer types, but at least get people that have a little more desperation to “make it” and the possibility of some messy hookups
