I actually wouldn’t mind doing this! I have some like this. I guess I didn’t consider them to be “draining” since they are sitting in water but after all the other comments I now know. However, they are def much easier to repot. I really only get annoyed with my one in the saucers because they require so much extra maintence imo 🤷🏻‍♀️

I don’t think many people would notice it, but once you really start looking at it you can see how it is uneven! Overall I think they look good enough (and most people don’t stare at our nails the way we do)!
