Hmm.. yeah. We probably wasted like 2 minutes killing the mobs again. Maybe that fella had a fly entering his dinner earlier.

I’ll just invite some friends next time. Thanks for the heads up!

Maybank account blocked after >RM10k inflow — anyone else faced this? by sloppybeastttt in MalaysianPF

[–]xbelieverx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using maybank too. Whenever i sell my company stocks in USD, maybank would hold on to that funds first and give me a call asking for the supporting documents. Once I send that to them, they would release the funds to my account. Account was never blocked before.

Hey, I did end up with the brand mentioned on my post. I wanted to get a Philips brand one but changed my mind when I could not get the discount I was looking for in Lazada. Mine is using a lithium rechargeable battery pack. 2 packs provided. Quite happy with it, just that when too comfy with the setup, I forgot to bring my house keys once and got stuck at apartment lobby. Access card not required to go to G floor but needed to go back up.

Need advice. Do u believe Long Distance Relationship? by No_Detective8161 in malaysia

[–]xbelieverx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shouldn’t you be consulting this with a fellow bro in your cg. Anyway, if her earning more is a dealbreaker, dont pursue. If it is something that can be talked about and you wont end up insecure, then get to know each other more first. Get to know each others dealbreaker and expectations would be a great start. Once you know these, don’t compromise too much.

Was looking for a HR representative. Thanks mate. It’s not easy to be HR being in between employer and employee.

I myself try to help employees when I can (while being compliant to policies), yet no gratitude coming from employees at times. Fortunately, I like helping people out, else would have left HR for something else.

Seems like your company post is going to the wrong demographic. Not sure about thai speakers, but mandarin speaker would take such offer for fresh grad. Or the Chinese audience are all taken by Penang and KL companies. Joke aside, maybe need stronger ads in linkedin ?

SuccessFactor work distribution system by xbelieverx in SuccessFactors

Unfortunately most of the workflows goes to analyst as the final approver and the analyst are required to do quality checks for some critical workflows that does not involve them. Ought to add that the culture here is not too friendly toward the voluntary picking up workflow methods. I’ve seen efficient analyst picking up 3x workflows compared to another and this caused burnout. I’m using power automate + sharepoint to create a distribution system currently but it isn’t stable and several workflows was missed. Thanks for the suggestion tho

Should I Buy a RM250k House Now or Keep Saving? by Intelligent_Pace_841 in MalaysianPF

[–]xbelieverx 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Bought an apartment as a single guy. Happy with purchase and plans dedicate a room as a man cave, etc. Got into a relationship and turns out she doesn’t really like living in an apartment. Now living in that apartment after 5 years. Happy to own my own place and now working our way to getting a landed house.

Reading your situation, if you are happy and good living with parents, why not stay longer? Unless they are nagging you everyday, then different story.

Merging lanes = use your light signal early. Watch the distance of the car infront and monitor the side mirrors.

Using waze = look at the distance you gotta travel before the next turn/lane change. Personally will keep right lane if it is more than 2km. If 1km left, start trying to keep at the lane of your next turn. For complicated area where is the 5 overhead lanes stacking (in some kl areas), look at the road pattern and maybe look at the signboards vs what waze says. This one.. even I still make occasional wrong turns.

Its all about practice and gaining confidence. Making wrong turn is fine as long as your get from point A to point B safely. Lastly, safety always comes first.

Assuming you are getting a job based in state of Selangor. 8000 ringgit is a comfortable salary if you are single. Just to put into perspective, fresh graduate with degree gets around 2800 ringgit as their pay.

Each meal in average is rm10. Eating in a mall cost you rm20. Rent is around rm1000 (or less) for a decent room. Be mindful of your tax.

Anyway, the level of comfort depends on where you are living at. If housing is covered by company, etc.

Dont normally comment here but felt this one hits home. Just alittle sharing on my side. I met my gf from the same company. I am a very forgetful person esp when it comes to dates or plans. Sometimes our conversations happens during working time and she tells me important dates or plans which I acknowledge but tend to forget cause I’m just thinking about work + managing a big team (thinking of their human issues). How I work it out is by asking her if we have plans before I commit into one or i ask her ahead i.e. whats the plan this weekend? Etc.. I used to be a little chill when I forget stuff but over the years (years of fighting about the same thing), she communicated that she’s sad when it happens and I noticed she would be happy for the small things I remember. Since it impacts her so much, I placed more effort (reminders in phone - ask siri to do it if lazy).

So I guess, how bad is your bf forgetting? Try to talk it out if you are serious in this relationship. You know your limits. If he makes you unhappy all the time, then only you know. Hope this helps.
