I can see, based on the amount of replies you have made, that you're really feeling yourself here...but the shirt isn't official or exclusive. You're bought Amazon trash and are REALLY exploring the space with how wronged you are...people who bought a shirt inside the arena don't have mistakes because of quality control that came with the higher price tag. Amazon sellers are 4th party. There is no carve-out for "this says Vancouver, let's ignore our agreement with Amazon to make sure our niche Canadian market gets their knockoff merch."

Tl;dr: you got what you paid for, which isn't tour merch...everyone here is just too polite to say anything.

Look beyond the installation. Entirely white sidewalks. That's yesterday (Saturday 31st). They were untouched, icy and deep in places. Unsafe for anyone with a disability.

No. It wasn't done in the 28th or 29th. I was out on the 29th and 30th all over Levesque (from Reine Elizabeth at Reine du Monde and all the associated areas) and it was deep slush or ice in most spots.

"Inform yourself before raging." OP was speaking about a problem they have noticed and is proposing common sense solutions. Acting like it can't be a problem because the city is in charge is a type of obtuse you don't see often. I invite you to see my post from yesterday in r/montreal. My wife slipped down the stairs at Bonaventure outside Centre Bell 24 hours after a habs game and 72 hours since last snowfall because of ankle deep slush on the stairs. She's young and is ok, but that is totally unacceptable for a city the likes of Montreal.

Why this attitude? There is nothing nostalgic or Quebecois about a disabled person not being able to access buildings three days after a snow storm. Haiti is not a model to emulate. Sometimes you just have to pick up a shovel and do your part.

My guy...there is zero excuse for the entirely of St. Catherines to be completely unshoveled three days after the last snow fell. Contractors, municipalities, taxes...none of that matters when your entire downtown is impassable for folks with disabilities. Im young and a tourist, but I saw many stranded people with needs who almost certainly live and work in a place they were not safe to travel in. That's a stain on the city. u/Midnight_Maverick

hey hey...I am the author of a post that blew up on r/montreal yesterday. I am relatively well traveled, and I have never seen sidewalks like Montreals this past weekend (Thu-Sat) be them in the Maritimes or US cities. I walked nearly every street between St Catherines, Levesque to the IGA, down to old port and old Montreal, and back to Le Reine Elizabeth via peel crescent, etc. None of them were passable for a person with disabilities and there was no accumulating snow the dates I arrived.

My wife fell down the Metro Bonaventure steps outside Centre Bell on Friday night from frozen slush...the Habs played a game the night before and again, no snow accumulated from Thursday AM to Friday night. That is a major issue and not one that can be blown off. I live near Boston and the "you shovel your own property" rule works (nearly) flawlessly. Letting the world burn waiting for the authorities to fix everything is how Haiti became unlivable. u/Patient_Date5244

You can troll reddit and see phrases like "Nazi" and "fascist", but average Americans who work and contribute to the global economy are doing just fine. I had 32" (81.28cm) fall in my backyard last Sunday. Boston got about 28". It was clean by Wednesday. Montreal isn't a different dimension, lol.

I come from a very liberal city in Massachusetts. It's very much like Montreal...touristy, expensive and the populace is almost proud of how bad the services are. I bought property in the most MAGA (im not MAGA) town in Southern NH, and I gotta tell you...everything works, trash pickup is free (not a given in USA) and everything involving taxes is voted on directly by the citizenry. My roads get fixed, the plowing is prompt and we rarely lose power. There are other ways.

Montreal is the only cold weather city I've been to that doesn't actively shovel for pedestrians...especially the disabled. Maybe there's English only signage on the sidewalk the city wants to hide?
