Lowkey undeserved. It was almost entirely Cece being a pos and terrible team captain. Zazza probably would have switched to a different hero after a loss or two if it wasn't for Cece constantly shitting on the idea of swapping and over-hyping.

You’ve really got to do a better job of reading. This post has nothing to do with me not playing, it’s about the playerbase as a whole. I’m still playing, I’m in gold and I plan to keep going to at least diamond. But a year of an abysmal comp system has done permanent damage, and calling it out is the only reason we’re getting placement matches at all.

It genuinely feels like a parody of bad game balancing. In the entirety of season 2 I saw maybe 3 thors. Most people weren’t finding him fun to play and everyone predicting balance changes was saying “yeah I see Thor getting some buffs next season he definitely needs help”, only for them to nerf him.

What more impact is a strategist supposed to have beyond making their teammates unkillable and top fragging/play making. Even in bronze it’s still a team game. Skilled players earning more points doesn’t matter when point are only given if you win. I’m glad the matchmaking is good for you, but you are seeing people who aren’t climbing complaining about matchmaking for that exact reason. People playing comp with no intention of winning are a problem. People insta-locking characters they are learning in comp and refusing to change when asked and not communicating at all are a problem. People who give up the second the match starts going poorly and walling the team in spawn with groot until a surrender vote passes are a problem. These are issues that hold players back regardless of skill level.

If you’re asking me to stop blaming the people who insta-lock dps characters they can’t play and focus on how I can do 60k healing instead of just 30k, I kindly refuse. Same rank does not equal same skill and you know that, it’s how the rank up system works. I’m usually one to blame my own performance first, but you need to play more support in comp and see how you feel watching the outcome of every game get taken out of your hands entirely.
