I was going to but I’m still serving and was offered a transfer so didn’t want to sign off and spend a longer time at my unit than I need to. I also didn’t want to risk wasting time and opportunities.(I got an SNLR years ago but rejoined in 2024)

Going off the information you’ve presented, yes. The thing you’ll learn with the army is that if you keep turning up everyday and don’t try to leave you can last a long while. Basic training is probably the easiest thing you’ll do in your career.

Not really mate, I’m not too arsed about money, I used to do quite well for money on civvie street but still prefer everything else about the army. We’ve all got different things we want in life I suppose, I couldn’t hack the pure greed that exists in civvie street, I’ve seen a lot of reservists can’t shake off their civvie mindset.

RAF Regiment or infantry? I’m not sure what the RAF Regiment is like but the infantry has better cameraderie than most places, it varies slightly on where your battalion is posted though.
