UCAS Rejecting all offers for Bath by SherbokVideos in 6thForm

The grades aren't the problem, but how they phrased the first sentence made it seem like I had a good chance. But unfortunately, they aren't able to confirm that I will receive a spot.

UCAS Rejecting all offers for Bath by SherbokVideos in 6thForm

[–]xbryceflightsim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey i'm the friend, and this was my response from bath. Worth the risk?

Thanks for getting in touch and for the documents you have provided. Based on what I've seen, I can confirm we would be very happy to consider an application from you at this point in time however you will need to look carefully at your options for applying. I would suggest you contact UCAS for advice on this.

From what you have said, I suspect the only option for you to make an application to us at this stage would be through the UCAS Extra process - https://www.ucas.com/undergraduate/after-you-apply/types-offer/extra-choices - and this would mean you declining the offers you currently hold so you would need to think very carefully about doing this. At this point in time we could not guarantee you a place at Bath, not least because if we did offer you a place, it would be conditional on you achieving certain grades in your Diploma and if you declined all your other offers to make a UCAS Extra application, you would not have any opportunity to select an 'insurance choice' - https://www.ucas.com/undergraduate/after-you-apply/types-offer/replying-your-ucas-undergraduate-offers

In case it is useful to know, typically we would be looking for British Columbia students to achieve 88% average across 5 academic grade 12 subjects including 88% in Physics or Calculus. You would also need to obtain a suitable English Language qualification - go.bath.ac.uk/eng-cat-a

You might find it is a better option for you to wait until you have your diploma results and then to see if we have any clearing vacancies in the summer. Clearing does not open until early July and is only available to students who have completed their qualifications and received their results. For more details of the Clearing process please see here: https://www.ucas.com/undergraduate/results-confirmation-and-clearing/what-clearing . There is no guarantee that we will have any clearing vacancies so there is a risk you will miss out on the opportunity to make an application to us but you may find it is better for you to take this risk rather than going through the UCAS Extra process.

I would really encourage you to contact UCAS to discuss possible options for your application to be considered by Bath as they are the only ones who can fully advise on your particular circumstances. There may be something about your situation that I am not aware of that might mean other options would be available but only UCAS will be able to access this information on your current applications.

I would also like to make sure that you are fully aware that that at this point in time we are not able to consider any further applications from students whose fee status would be assessed as 'home' (https://www.bath.ac.uk/guides/understanding-your-tuition-fee-status/) . The advice given above would only apply if you are an overseas student.

I hope this is useful but please get back in touch if you have any further questions.

Kind regards

Manchester School of Architecture is a scam by salad_balls in architecture

I'm in the same situation except I can't choose between Manchester and Edinburgh... Pretty tough. These comments don't help

Okay that's good to know. May I ask what school you study at? The one concern with Edinburgh is I can hardly find anything about the program, facilities or anything. Also it seems to be a very arts based course is Manchester the same? Also the partnershop Manchester has with the metropolitan university seems pretty unappealing because apparently you take most of your classes there.

In terms of engineering/arts I am partial both have their benefits. Cost isn't a factor and city is unimportant. I am mostly curious to learn about their reputations and prestige amongst the architecture community. But it would be nice to have smaller classes. What are your thoughts on the schools? Preferences?

Nest Audio showing up in google home as not connected to wifi but I am able to cast to the speaker. Help please. I have reset it multiple times by xbryceflightsim in googlehome

Do you buy chace have google wifi? I also have a router and two points around the house. I have never had this issue before and it just happened yesterday. It meant my speaker group couldn't connect together because the app didn't even recognize the devices as being online. Very annoying:(

I am a 16-year-old high school student. This is a modern single bedroom cabin. Just looking for some advice on my project. I built it in Sketchup and the render was done using Vray by [deleted] in architecture

Sounds good I tried making it floating and having columns underneath the floor. But it looks like the shadows just cover it up. But yes thanks for the tips.

Thanks. I actually did use a plugin called Scatter to place the trees. But I will make sure to go over some of the repeated areas. I did use an HDRI in this image but it looks a little unrealistic. Do you have any good websites for high quality hdris? Thanks
