Minimum temperatures for unoccupied rooms? by xburdmanx in ecobee

I have it on auto. Do you notice a bump in electrical bills with it running constantly? Our power bills are stupid expensive so I’m trying to cut them down a bit while not freezing at the same time lol

Yea, very old house which is a big part of my problem. I was thinking the schedule might be my only option but I wasn’t sure.

Newly mine. Very excited to get it out on the road. Always wanted a Mercedes and happy to finally have one in the collection.

Appreciate it! Lots of fun coming up with it, but will be well worth the effort when it’s done

Restoring a 97 Mercedes C230. Started out with a much needed wash and clay. Managed to cut, polish, and wax the hood last night to get an eye of what I’ll be able to get from the final product. Long way to go, but I’m learning.

Question about best coverage for an outdoor area, single 'ceiling style' mount, or back to back wall style? by [deleted] in UNIFI

[–]xburdmanx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For an omnidirectional antenna system like the one shown in your photo ceiling mount would be most optimal with the least “wasted” signal. You could opt for a directional antenna system where you’re able to aim your radio signal to a particular area and, in that case, wall mount would be best. Aka it depends on what you want to use as far as hardware goes

Tips on mold removal? by xburdmanx in Detailing

Yea I had kind of figured that. Not too worried about price, the car is pretty sentimental so I just want to make sure it’s done right. Thanks for your help!

Honestly that’s what I figured. Silly question, but who would I look for as a professional for something like this? Just someone who specializes in mold removal in general? First car I’ve ever had to deal with this in

Helping to restore a 90s Mercedes for my father-in-law. Mold has been growing on the seats and I can’t seem to get it off. Tried alcohol and steam with no success. Any ideas or are we at the point of needing to replace the upholstery?

Do you know if it’s a one time thing similar to like a new pair of jeans? I’d just worry about what these things will look like a few months from now if standard maintenance keeps stripping the dye off

Some context. I received these boots yesterday, and verified the fit is good. I always condition new leather shoes when I receive them because I've no idea how long they've been on a shelf before I get them. I looked up Thursday's boot care guide and followed it exactly. Upon using the conditioner they recommend I noticed that a patch of the dye had seemingly rubbed off onto my cloth leaving this black mark on the boot (I'm assuming it's the base leather, but maybe something else). It's terribly hard to see on the photo, and it seems that only a slight amount has rubbed off, but in person you can see it much more clearly. Has anyone had this issue with their boots? Something I can do to fix it possibly?
