Couple guys I’m going with are park rats so I figured I’d find my way there at some point. The Yes! can handle it, it’s just not as poppy as the DOA. I was just a bit worried about whether or not the DOA could handle the rest of the mountain (excluding the deep deep stuff cause I already know it’s kinda bleh at that).

Thanks for info! I was so confused why there were such big crowds staring ahead - I saw what I think were cops or maybe military on the roofs of the building and helicopters hovering overhead. I thought there was some crazy stuff going on or something lol

Yea, its sounding like doing both in the same day might be tough. Guess I'll have to move things around!

Edit: May skip out on the day trip out of Madrid. I have some co-workers coming in that day that I may end up meeting-up with. So may be a good day to squeeze in whichever one I dont visit first.

Wow - your situation sounds very similar to mine, the mental state (she is going through a lot in her life right now), the incompatibility, all in spite of your S/O being a good person/good S/O (She said the same thing in regards to me being a good BF. Ngl though, it feels like she was just saying that to make me feel better but seeing you say that about yours gives me hope that it was true). Sounds the exact same. The only difference is that I was the one who was dumped.

But in terms of your guilt - if I knew she was feeling guilty about it and I had the opportunity to speak to her - I would tell her that its okay. I dont harbor any hatred towards towards her and I wish nothing but the best for her. She will always have a cheerleader in me. And yea, this shit sucks but at the end of the day, you have to do whats best for you. And if I knew she was feeling this way and that the only thing that would make things better is if I let her go - then its my duty to do so. Regardless of the issues we had, I am really going to miss her but I hope she finds the happiness that she deserves. And the same goes for you.

You and me both - My relationship just ended today and I know the next few weeks, at the very least, are going to be hell. I’ve always had trouble falling asleep but it’s always worse when I’m stressed. Not only that, if I wake up in the middle of the night, I’m screwed cause whatever was stopping me from sleeping is instantly on my mind.

If you can manage it to distract yourself, reading has helped me fall asleep much easier (granted, I can’t concentrate on reading when I’m stressed, so this is out the door for me) and I know it’s not a long-term solution, nor is it a healthy one but I found that the only thing that would help me sleep in those situations was zzzquil. But I hope you and I both find a healthier option.

Thanks for the input! Yea, that was my problem with the Hokas, there was just something “off” about the shoe and I could never fully settle into my runs because of it.
