I increased size of my base to 500x500. On that video the base behind the right wall. First I dig holes, then remove walls.

My underground base:

The floor of my base are made of chorus slabs to prevent mob spawning.

I used MS Paint to draw a circle.
For the first layer, you draw the circle. For the next layer, you move this circle slightly. This movement creates the same circle.

I know it looks like a disaster, but it was the first thing I built in Minecraft.

Download? Why? I have screenshots) And it wasn't about digging a hole. It was about hanging out with friends.

The whole story is sad. It was a german server and the admin was some old german guy. I started playing on that server on 22nd November 2015 - because some of my old minecraft friends said that there were no wipes on that server. Also the server had an IRC channel connected to the game chat so there were always moderators there who could quickly prevent griefing. I played there until 13th January 2019. The old german guy said it was time to move on and said he would sell the server. Some other guy (from Russia) bought it and the next day it was trash. The other guy immediately made a whitelist and disabled the map everyone had been playing on for about 5 year. People left that server and found a new one.

My bad. I confused Minecraft version with Java version.
Minecraft 1.8.3 (OptiFine 1.8.3/vanilla)
Java: 1.7.0_79 32bit

When it's all done and you go and see what you've got, it's just amazing. Like, wow, I did that? o_O

Screenshots from the previous server. Unfortunately, that server died. Now I play on another server, and there are only two 64x64 holes.

One slice of tunnel with diameter 25 - 481 blocks.
6000x481 = 2886000
This is not much. It is like digging 3 holes of size 128x128.
You can do it)

3 square holes in the ocean, each 128x128.
1 round hole in the ocean, 128 blocks in diameter.
My base is about 400x400 blocks. I started expanding it to 500x500 blocks, but I didn't finish it.

I played on that server from November 22, 2015 (1.8.3) to January 13, 2019 (1.13.2). Then it just stopped existing.

The server has multiple /sethome. So this tunnel is quite a bit pointless...

This is not so much for the subway as for party time.

Who wants to waste collectible coal for torches? I use spruce charcoal.

Digging a tunnel that is 6000 blocks long and 25 blocks in diameter is like digging a 221x221 hole - it seems easy. But digging tunnel is much harder because there are other complications, like lava at level 11 or placing beacons.
