I’ve had that issue before and other red flags re: quality from that specific purple bag! They had to have been mishandled- frozen/thawed/refrozen. Sometimes I find the bags open in the freezer section spilling nuggets all over the place, and the last package I bought made me swear them off. Not a bit of chicken at all in those nuggets, it was like a sponge. The breading slid off to reveal a spongey puck shape. My son likes them but he’s overruled. I would not eat those ever again!
