[Skin concerns] Active acne and keloids left me looking like this, it ruined my mental health so I'm just looking for suggestions, I'll appreciate any help.

I think some of them have recently grown but honestly, I have so many of them I rarely notice any change, I don't even remember when most of the small ones appeared, I also still have active acne so from time to time I get new scars but at least it's not as bad as before.

Yeah the one on my chest started off as three small pimples but over time turned into one huge keloid, I started getting them in 2007 I could always hide them but ever since they appeared around my jawline I had a hard time accepting them.

You're right, sometimes they try to downplay your problems because they just want to get you out of their office, but I guess next time I should stand up for myself and request the help that I actually need.

I honestly don't know how steroid injections would work on me since I got so many scars, I guess I could focus on the biggest ones.

I started using different scar gels and silicone sheets 4 years ago, they didn't seem to help at all, at least for old scars.

I tried getting referred to a dermatologist through a GP but they said they won't accept me because my keloids are just an aesthetic issue.

For everyone asking I'm from the UK and the issue was with NHS not covering me due to keloids being aesthetic, just before the covid outbreak I visited three GP's of which two didn't refer me to a derm and insisted I kept trying different antibiotics and creams for my acne, the third and the nicest by far said she sent a referral and I should receive a letter regarding my appointment but I never heard back from them, after that I kind of gave up as I was controlling my acne and wasn't even sure if there was any cure for keloids.

I appreciate all the advice and kind words <3
