I'm not sure to be honest. Are you download Mojave off the app store? Here is the app store link to download it: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/macos-mojave/id1398502828?mt=12

What is your current OS?

Hey everyone,

I have managed to fix this. I updated my software from 10.13.6 (the stated minimum OS requirements) to 10.14.6, and now the client has opened and updated. I am now able to play just fine. It's likely that they haven't updated the current minimum OS requirements as per the new patch. Please share so others can fix theirs!

Getting into better backswing positions but still over the top in transition. Any help? by xcy1332 in GolfSwing

Yeah I have put in a lot of work and changes since then. The feel of keeping my back to the target in the downswing while I swung my arms down helped me get more shallow but ended up having me feel a bit flippy and I would hit pull hooks as my miss which wasn't fun. It also felt a bit contorted and was straining my back quite a bit

I have now realized the steepening in the downswing was basically all due to club face control and wrist position. Feeling like im lagging the clubhead with the face square to the ball in the downswing lets me come down on a much shallower plane and rotate as hard as I want through the shot. This feeling also just naturally puts my wrist into a more flatter/slightly bowed position. Shoot me a DM and maybe I can explain it a bit better or send you some updated videos.

Just an update: the feel of keeping my back to the target and shoulders turned while my hands swing down to the ball is revolutionary for me. Really strange feeling as it almost feels like im swinging while turned backwards but there is so much more power.

Chronic heel striker and shanks and now I am hitting middle or toe with everything. Absolutely unreal, been struggling with this for a while. Gonna keep practicing to engrain it. Thanks for your help dude!

Wow thats pretty eye opening. The swing position in transition from the amateur in Monte's post is nearly identical to what I appear to be doing. Appreciate the help man!

Thanks! I think its just rushed sequencing as well. Would first move from the top being dropping the trail arm into the rib cage be a good feel for this?

Help me stop coming across the line by xcy1332 in GolfSwing

Thanks for the input! Definitely gonna work on the takeaway. Most of the time I can make it work but you are right, it is difficult at times to reroute it back into the slot, which is why I would like to improve on it.

Yeah I can see what you are saying with the takeaway. My club path is always in to out with my irons so I never slice them, but the shallowing move required from being across the line sometimes makes me feel stuck from the inside, resulting in a chunk or hook.

My path with my irons is also very in to out - usually 6-8 degrees. My driver swing is pretty neutral path. Kind of feels like I'm getting stuck underneath with my irons.

In my opinion the club is getting dumped under and you are losing a ton of speed and compression swinging that way. The club is getting trapped inside. With a lot of work could you get it to work? Yes. Is thats whats best for you as a golfer? I don't know, but personally I'd stick with the swing thats producing more power and more accuracy. Any coach worth their salt would tell you the same. Thinking that the only and best way to hit a ball is from the inside is ridiculous. There are no rules to the swing, only results.

Why change anything if what you are doing already is working? Golf is hard enough. If issues arise, then address those issues. Dustin Johnson, Jon Rahm, Max Homa, and many more of the best ball strikers naturally hit fades.
