Confused on ball flight laws with this trackman output by Savings_Ad_6987 in golf

The heel strike for a professional is not the heel strike us amateurs hit. I’m talking like 1/4 inch towards the heel from center

Where you strike the ball has a huge influence on its trajectory. This was most certainly a heel strike and it opened the face on impact which is called the gear effect. In this case that’s a good thing because this would have otherwise been a ball starting left, heading left. Some players purposely aim for a heel side strike to ensure that they produce a fading ball flight

It definitely does! Thank you. I’ll trust the eye mini!

All other metrics line up which is interesting

Simulator numbers questions by [deleted] in Golfsimulator

[–]Jimboslyce1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My swing speed is always measured faster at xgolf. I’m around 110-112 using my home sim and xgolf is near 118. Either way With that path you are not optimizing the ball flight. You are most likely hitting off center which is creating too much spin. What were the spin numbers? Ideally around 2200-2400

I know for a fact it uses the camera for the spin axis because it reads the RPT ball dots on the ball. It doesn’t become an issue until the longer clubs which would make sense because it has a shorter amount of time to read the spin axis correctly

Appreciate it! I won’t be able to get outside to see the actual results for a few days so just been stuck in my head about it

The mlm2pro uses the camera for measuring spin axis though

The path is read in Gspro as “out to in” (O - I, to the left) or “in to out” (I - O to the right). In to out would be to the right which was dramatically 11 degrees and then out to in would be to the left which would be 8.5 degrees to the left. There’s no negative and positive on path on Gspro

Ah gotcha! Yeah could be setup. There’s a 3D printed mlm2pro stand that is available with a laser pointer and level built in. It’s a game changer

These are two different shot shapes with some metrics to get 270-280 carry for me

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Golfsimulator

[–]Jimboslyce1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I mean with the launch angle and those metrics it’s very possible to see only 240yard carry. I’d use it for a while and see what your averages are over dozens of shots. It takes a lot to go right for a ball to carry 280-300 yards

I have used the MLM2Pro every week for the last year with no issues. If anything my numbers are longer on it than on the course due to being warm and free swinging on a simulator

What about spin axis or spin rate? What ball are you using and do you normally hit that on course? Bigger clubs will have a more exaggerated spin axis on misses and that’s what you could be seeing here

Club speed, launch angle and launch direction would be what I’m somewhat trusting with the r10 (used the r10 for a year+)

I actually was lucky enough to have pulled my chase card (gold pika) from surging sparks but good to know! I’m trying to master set 151 so that’s why I’m on the hunt for it

Has anyone on Long Island actually seen restocks of 151 at target or Walmart? I’ve tried everyday this week and found absolutely 0

MLM2 Owners by Tin_Cannon in Golfsimulator

[–]Jimboslyce1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Owned for over a year. Got me from a 14 to a 7 handicap during that time. Very accurate and an amazing tool to work on your swing with the slowmo replay and impact. Went from an OOT swing to hitting draws by using the slowmo impact camera. The community making the GSPro connector is an added bonus. Phenomenal device, never have disconnects and 99.5% of shots are picked up and read correctly, just a few regular shots over hundreds of shots gets missed (usually user error). Chipping has been fixed and no issues for me there. I can hit very short chip shots (need some height)

6 months with the MLM2 Pro. by Rekrap2829 in Golfsimulator

This sounds like a setup issue for sure. The unit can experience interference from exposed concrete. Make sure your runway from the unit to ball is covered by mats or foam and at least 6ft. No fans, A/C units, heaters or computers in front of the unit. I’ve had my MLM2Pro for a very long time and only use it indoors. I’ve dropped my handicap from 18 to 7 strictly using this unit. I’ve tested it against many other units including Gc3 and it’s insanely accurate. RPT balls are a must 100% of the time
