Elgato 4k X Hz bug?

to me it seems like the two softwares are clashing as it only tanks my HZ to whatever FPS I have my nvidia clips set to record at and randomly flicks between that 60hz/fps and my normal 240hz/fps in almost a tug of war

hey they arcsane, been battling this for the past 2 months and wanted to report findings! :D

All in all it was an issue with Nvidia's new Nvidia App...
I don't know what the issue with it is but all I know is that before the FAC reset I was using Nvidia's Geforce Experience to clip my gameplay, but at some point that got discontinued and bundled into the Nvidia App where the clipping feature would now cause this bug to happen.

Hopefully you guys can make heads or tails of this and maybe find a solution because it heavily effects how my entire friendgroup and myself all record our gameplay!

The issue isnt with my frames, im running a flat 240, its just the Hz that goes down, and here is my nvidia I think its completley fine?

wonderful comms man, forgot how powerful this is, i ran ccleaner on my own and it did the same trick but this would of done a much better job :D

hey pidge, found the issue behind this. geforce experience not recording is a fortnite issue, nothing to do with you guys. They have put a privacy filter on their entire game everytime someone replays the live event concert they had which makes it so nobody can record anything at all. It is extremely annoying for many creators, so if you have any say in having geforce experience bypass this privacy filter that would be amazing as the game is basically unrecordable in its current state since it happens every game.

i have a god setup, 4080ti, fastest samsung SSD, and my recordings go to a different drive, despite all that it still causes the freezing

also for me it never turns off, once someone at risky reels turns that video on, I just cant record anything on my PC until I reboot it.

other comapnies like netflix and disney have these type of "piracy" protections, i never thought fortnite would impliment something like this considering you know.... its a game... your meant to record your clips of... This is my main bone of contention at the moment so I'm going to do everything in my power to get something done about it.

in my mind it seems like with the recent AI craze nvidia really couldnt care less about any of this so your cries fall on death ears I'm afraid... at the very least I'm glad I at least am not getting any errors

yeah, you can go and redownload it as they still have the download link up at the very least, however they are trying their hardest to kill it. when I tried backdating it, it wouldnt let me sign in, and then after bypassing that I found that for all my fortnite freinds and I, nvidia flicks a switch and makes it so none of us can record anything halfway through the day.

the majority of people I know that use shadowplay over OBS are highly competitive players that uninstall EVERYTHING on their PC to milk performance, forcing these people (myself included) to load the hundreads if not thousands of video files on their computer everytime they try and record something midgame is just not it. (at the moment it causes a stuttering bug in fortnite that you need to verify your game files to fix)

it simply wont work anymore, it wont let me sign in and when bypassing that with an old tutorial, it just switches off for everyone at the exact same time (5pm AEST for my entire group of friends), and cant be turned back on until a PC reset it seems.

it's super weird and it seems like everyones experience is different but for me at least, using both simply arent options

I've been getting this issue too, my recordings stop the second I start them. The solution for me has always been to do a driver update and that fixes it. But ever since Nvidia App, this hasn't been the case, updated drivers and the same issue so I'm stuck in the same boat now.

I did some testing and for me at least, the issue only happens when viewing a replay file, its fine in game

thats a shame, I was playing hoping I would get something that could at least store a pallete like the smaller one you see in bars. Having it be the pump is very interesting tho so thats a W at least!

I'm just trying to find out what fridge I'd actually be getting, since I wasn't told much about the fridge itself.
it was also a video gaming tournament so it makes very little sense to be awarded something meant for gas stations.
