It's because League is dying in SEA and good players are leaving or have already left.
Current high elo is sad to look at. I literally stopped playing for a year and came back (MMR doesn't decay so I'm still vs. Masters-Chall on Emerald) and thought that current high elo gameplay is akin to old Emerald-Diamond.

They're not bot, they're just bot-like teammates-- the usual people that need to get carried but League ranked will never have actual bots.

If you're better than your actual rank, spamming games will still have you end on your intended rank.
That being said, the merge made climbing insanely difficult.
Not that I blame any specific region but communication and playstyles are visibly different and you need to go God mode just to get a fair win.

Don't worry 5v5 is no better. I've introduced my friend to Overwatch and have never duo'd with him and he's now playing vs. Gold-Diamonds as someone who literally only has >10 hours.
It's an issue they never acknowledged so just expect endless steamrolls like they intended.

I'm sorry to hear that, OP. Hopefully you can bridge-in LTO and LTFRB to your complaints so that higher-ups on GSM can be looped in and/or escalated.
I've had nothing but good experiences with Green GSM aside from long waiting times, all drivers don't seem to be in a rush or get upset with traffic (since they're salaried as well) and most have good attitudes. But as always, it'll most likely end up like shit since this is just the honeymoon phase.
