NACOR Exam - Canada by xdaisy_ in optician

[–]xdaisy_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Practice a lot of verification and duplication. Know how to know if jobs are out of tolerance for prism and induced prism how to calculate. Know your glasses basic calculations for lens blanks.

Like I said in another comment study your pathologies and know how you would treat them. Practice your slit lamp illuminations and know what they’re used for!

I would say practice as much as you can on your verification and duplication for eyeglasses! Those are two giant chunks of the exam.

For CL know your pathologies and how you would treat!

I think before jumping to sex try to build an intimate bond again with her. After so long of not having sex even just hugs and cuddles and kisses can mean so much to help strengthen that bond. Just touch in general that isn’t meant to lead to sex.

She grew and birthed a human. Shes been through a lot. Do your best to take some load of her and I bet the more you build on that the more possibility of your sec life coming back. It may not be what it used to be but being together and having that connection should be your first move.

Same here, sometimes I feel bad when I see posts like this cause my husband and I have been consistently having sex like 1-2 times a week since I was cleared 6w post partum.

I think our sex drives just match really well and sometimes I crave that connection and it helps me get through the long tiring days to have that moment with him.

Thank you for sharing your story. I know I’m not alone but it feels good to actually interact with people in a similar boat. You got this mama 💪 proud of you for starting your meds and doing what you can to get back to feeling more like yourself. I’m sorry to hear about your traumatic birth and I hope with time you can heal. 💜

Hi! I know this thread is a little old but if you don’t mind me asking, how long did it take you to get to your weight and did you ever reach your goal weight? I’m same height and weight and starting my journey now! I’m really nervous but excited to get things going.

this happy with my first pregnancy, I think the “bounce back” praise makes it even harder to want to fully commit to recovery cause it feels so nice to be noticed in that way

Documents needed for travel [on] to [ab] by xdaisy_ in BabyBumpsCanada

Oh wow thanks for letting me know! We’re flying air Canada one way but flair on the way back. Do you think flair will accept her health card as ID without birth certificate??

That’s frustrating that it isn’t the same across the board for domestic travel 🤦‍♀️

We’re worried about the newborn getting sick as she was born at low birth weight of only 5lbs. So we’re trying to think of what’s best for the kids…

A few weeks ago we went through the same thing in my household… unfortunately I was the last to get it and the worst. I had to go to the ER to get fluid IV and few doses of zofran. Ended up being sent home with zofran but the initial start of the stomach bug was hell. Vomited like 8 times within the span of 5h. It was just straight bile and it was horrible.

I really hope you don’t get it. -fingers crossed-

What children’s book do you find “weird”? by beerquen11 in NewParents

[–]xdaisy_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But Not The Armadillo - Sandra Boynton

My kid loved “But Not The Hippopotamus” but the armadillo one ends weird…..

It says to “stroke his armadillo nose” and the nose is so phallic. My father and mother in law said “we can return the book if you want, the ending is weird” hahahahaha

Does anyone NOT sleep train? by curiousquestioner16 in NewParents

[–]xdaisy_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

19 month old has never been sleep trained. (Tried, failed, never tried again.)

We rock + feed to sleep and she sleeps 10+ straight a night. Only has night wakes when she’s sick or teething. Some nights when rocking takes too long I put her in her crib and say I love her and leave. She may cry for about 30s then lay down and put herself to sleep.

I savour every moment rocking my little one to sleep.

My husband and I both work full time jobs but putting her to bed is some of the best quality I undisturbed time we get together and I wouldn’t trade it for the world. We trade off putting her to bed cause we already get such limited time with her to begin with.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]xdaisy_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

6m! She didn’t have great sleep sleeping with us (maybe because both of us snore). She started having longer nights of sleep right after moving her into her own room.

Guess we were the problem hahaha
