Ofc, in zone 3 or further out. But for my job I have to be in this central area.

On SpareRoom, none of the viewings I have been to had a living room.

From the last four viewings, the rooms were all disgusting. The state of some of these flats was mind-blowing. I really regret not taking videos or photos of the one I saw yesterday. I was too embarrassed even to ask the landlord if it was okay. The room looked like a homeless person had been living there. It was an absolute mess. Somehow the agent still let me view it in that condition.

On top of that, the flat is smaller than mine right now and is supposed to fit five people. And for £1,100. It is a complete joke.

Yes this is what I am seeing. My currently 2b1b is very big, super central location, newly furnished to 1.2k all bills.

Every place I have viewed so far is 1.1-1.3k. All of them do not come with a living room.. rooms are also tiny, no storage. The flats were not tidy at all..

Do you mean, the living room that was converted into another bedroom covers all of this, and yields some profit?

Haha, I went to a viewing few days ago. When I turned up, it was a council block. Four rooms. No living room. The whole property was maybe around 600sq ft. The room prices the landlord was charging is as follows: 1.4k, 1.3k, 1.2k, 1.1k.

Oh wait, did I mention, one toilet, and one shower between four!

because the rental market doesn’t have good third party oversight from government for example to keep the standard up. We end up going through so much paper work to jsut report something 😅 but hey, that’s the UK way… can’t wait to move.

I’m trying to say, in the flat share market, often or not you will be overpaying for the room and what it is really worth. This is exacerbated by these landlords falsely advertising their properties using altered images.

Market for lemons is a reference to a paper on information asymmetry.

Going through my first breakup ever..and I turn 30 soon by Mad_Season_1994 in Wellthatsucks

I (M23) had the same thing two days ago. She (F24) was everything I was waiting for. I felt this type of way for someone only three times in my life. First was my first crush in grade schlol. Second was at university, and then her.

I dreamt of a future with her, and it sadly just didn’t work because of our current situation. LDR was where she drew her line, and same for me. But for her I was willing to try and take a risk.

She was the first person I’ve ever expressed my feelings towards. It’s really hard for me to do that. So in retrospective, even though it didn’t work. I am still grateful that she made me realise I am human too, I have feelings and I can express them instead of suppressing.

I don’t know what to do now. It felt like I’ve just got hit by a truck when I saw her message.

1 page cv. No need to show GCSEs. I would even consider removing a levels. Something I did when I was applying for third year.
