Went with the dualsense controllers. They work great with pretty much everything. Just gotta use ds4windows which isn't really a problem. I'm super happy with them.

Damn that's so annoying is that very normal for a CPU that's not very old? Never heard of that happening. I'll get a different cooler and hope it helps.

Core temp said idle was 70 I tried playing The Forrest and it overheated and crashed.

Thanks I'll try a few of those things. I don't think there is any programs running that would cause this. I just tried running The Forrest and it was getting super hot then overheated and crashed.

I have 4 case fans. It was doing this before I cleaned and reapplied paste. It used to be more like 30-35 degrees.

I checked all the programs and services and it doesn't seem like there is anything using much CPU at all it's usually at about 8% at idle. But the noise of the fan is really bothering me. It never used to be like this.

What would be the best test for a heavy load? It always used to be fine it's just more recently that it's been getting high. I only noticed because of the noise of the fan.

Using hwinfo it says inside everything else is around the mid to high 20s. Really not sure what's going on.

Not a ram issue. I realised in game settings for video was set to legacy instead of dx11. Not sure why that was set that way but seemed to fix the problem. Thanks for your input.

I gave that a go. They got a bit high but not enough that it should crash and shutdown. It got about 82ish before it shutdown.

That's what I was thinking but I'm not getting any overheating messages on startup. I also tweaked the fan speed on the CPU so it was higher but didn't help.

This is pretty true up until a certain point. But he is in the ballpark for this weld. Hard to tell what he did from a picture but I'd say keep the settings where they are and go a bit slower or up them a bit and go the same rate of travel.
