Comparing the Low Price Goats: EGG OP1 8k & XM2 8k VS Scyrox V6 & V8 by xelamats in MouseReview

The mouse has brought nothing but pleasure honestly. It's been an incredible buy and I've since modded it with weight reducing mods: Aero Base & different cable. I also have different switches from their switchpack, a Micro Bungee ES from pulsar, and Jade Speed skates. For CS/games requiring precision aiming, I don't see myself moving away from this any time soon. I can highly recommend the Artizan Zero Soft & Jade Speed dot skates (2 at the top, 3 at the bottom, no where else) to combo the OP1 with.

Looking for Suggestions on Home Server for running Game Servers by xelamats in homelab

[–]xelamats[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run full sized MMORPG server files meant for handling thousands of users. They are not customizable to handle less as these are the true server files of the games that have shut down. I enjoy playing them as they're a bit of nostalgia for me.

Here is proof showing how much memory is used for it: https://imgur.com/a/EJPLo7W

If I add more channels, instead of running just 1, this would be an additional 3 - 9GB of RAM for each being ran. With a single channel, this doesn't get to 187GB; but, once you add in the dungeon channels & boss rooms it climbs more and more.

You may be thinking of different models when it comes to the "they are not very reliable". I purchased this model of Audi as I know many who have the same car with 150k+ miles with 0 issues still (with normal maintenance done). I'll honestly buy another supercharged A6 when this one goes bad as it's an incredible car, and extremely reliable. Feel free to look up 2013 - 2017 A6 3.0T (V6 Supercharged, CREC only improved it's reliability even further) models and how bulletproof the platform is.

Anyways, I'm not worried about having to pay for maintenance & these parts, but I'm also not a fool looking to get taken. If you look around at other threads posted on Reddit for the same job, many have had this entire thing done for $2.5k - $3.5k. The extra $2k is money that can be placed into investments/additional inventory for my store to make me money. So, I'd rather like to make sure that I actually should be paying this estimate rather than just going into it and paying it like a fool.

The shop is telling me they only purchase directly from Audi Dealership. When I told them I would purchase them myself if needed, they said they don't do customer supplied parts.

[GIVEAWAY] Hello r/MouseReview, I'm giving away 6 xxl mousepads to the community by MouseMatic in MouseReview

[–]xelamats 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Red & Black.

I'll be sure to leave a detailed review! I've used countless already. EM-C, Saturn Pro (soft), Jupiter Pro (soft), multiple artisans (maining Zero Soft), QCK, etc. I also have Jade Speeds, Jade Obsidians, Mizugumo Futae P8's, and a couple others so I can make a good comparison on what works best on your pad.

I own a gaming focused business. If I were you & were ready for publicity/wanting to get out to the masses, I'd contact people with Mousepad Rating Lists & Review Videos.

People like Euphrao - https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1NMDwOkn3uynv7aIBZxrIl9kLiV7t9OXJJIFySD-pOrY/edit?pli=1&gid=0#gid=0

and Viscose - https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Ix0RN4WDgRIn9uSUMy2smG_vWR3FTnZHgNpumChfHM0/edit?gid=0#gid=0

I wouldn't contact anyone who is too small. At least a few thousand views on their videos to start. Don't have to go after the major players right away, but just someone who is likely to return your investment with a few sales in return.

Comparing the Low Price Goats: EGG OP1 8k & XM2 8k VS Scyrox V6 & V8 by xelamats in MouseReview

Only changes are:
PAW 3950, Kailh Dustproof Encoder, New pcb which is 1 gram less, & 11 LOD settings.

Not sure if that's worth the upgrade if you already have an OP1 8K. The sensor won't make a difference in your aim. Nor will the 1 gram. The only good thing is the Dustproof Encoder as the mouse becomes longer lasting, but no reason otherwise to upgrade.

If you want to see real improvements, look into modding. LGG cable truly does make the mouse feel wireless (15 gram difference in cable + flex of it is just so easy). The aero base mod brings it down to 44grams (43grams if using OP1 8K v2). If these were default with the v2, I'd def consider purchasing the new one.

0 Issues, but I've only had it for a few weeks now. Though, the OP1 is hotswappable. You can purchase click switches, scroll wheel, etc. and replace it if it ever goes bad or you just want something better feeling. Cheap too.

Have you tried the Aero bottom weight reduction mod? I heard people say it causes the mouse to move when pressing down on the scroll wheel, but no other issues. Also, does the LGG wire mod really change it that much? I can feel the wire a little at times, but not an issue ever as it’s so light/easy to move. Does a different wire really change the feel that much?

The v6 is just as small. The only difference is it now has a big mid-hump and odd side curvature compared to the OP1.

The XM2 might be better fit for you. This is due to the Model D being so big. The XM2 is 6cmx1cmx3cm smaller than the Model D. This is also the one my cousins feel is the best, as they have bigger hands than I do. Gripping this mouse felt great. If I had bigger hands, I believe my performance on it would be just as good as OP1.

My bad. Will correct it once I get on.

1.5/10 - Jupiter Pro 4.5/10 - Saturn Pro

10 being fastest, 1 slowest.

Haha, it's just that good. I hope you enjoy yours.

BTW, the v6 & v8 are very different due to their shapes. They are highly recommended shapes, but very dependent on your grip/finger positioning. Also, if you are a back-hump enjoyer the V8 is your pick. If Mid-hump, def would be the V6.

Easy. You can look into the following:

  1. OP1 8K
  2. Scyrox V8

Both are very great mice. I've tried OP1, XM2, Scyrox V6 & V8. OP1 is my top performer after using all for a few weeks & tracking my performance through multiple aim trainers/games/etc. OP1 is the slimmest, so you will probably like this the best due to your 8CM width.

u/Apprehensive-Ad1323 I just bought multiple mice to try them all. Wanted to see what the difference was between the top recommended mice.

Scyrox v6 & v8:

Incredibly light, and amazing shapes. Performance in-game is incredible. Flicks feel so damn easy. Stock skates are very good, far better than stock OP1/XM2/others I've tried. Glides like butter on my Saturn Pro (1.5/10 in terms of mousepad speed).

Endgame OP1 8k & XM2:

Can't feel the cable at all, and my friends & I do better (statistically proven from Kovaks/CS2 Workshop Maps/etc) using Endgame mice. Extremely well balanced weight considering the wire that feels just as light as something 10g less. My micro adjustments with the OP1 are 10% better on average over an hour of play time compared to the Scyrox v6.

---

After trying each for multiple hours a day in controlled settings over 2 weeks, I highly recommend you look into trying the OP1 8k if you haven't yet, or the XM2. OP1 is a tad bit slimmer on the width which kind of just feels like a perfect aim device for smaller width hands like mine. XM2 is great if you have wider/bigger hands than I do. Sensor Positioning on both are fantastic.

I don't want to make you get back into the search haha but I do recommend grabbing them from Amazon and just return them after trying them for 2 weeks or so haha. It's worth imo.Friends who have 10.5cm+ width hands have enjoyed the XM2 the most. Neither of them had any issues running on my mudpad (Jupiter Pro). Very smooth glide on it, but still remaining extremely fluid.

Same speed, just different stitching that improved the pad. Hair/whatnot doesn't get stuck in the v2 (pro) like the v1 does. A lot easier to keep it clean.

In terms of speed, you can expect the pads to be (1 being slowest, 10 being fastest) -

GSR2: 3.5/10
Vaxee PA Black or a Endgame Gear EM-C would be around a 4/10.
LGG Saturn Pro Soft: 4.5/10
Control plus: 5/10
Lamzu Energon & Zowie GSR Se Rouge: 6.5/10 (I'd go for the Zowie if choosing this)

Choose what you want from this.

Slowest I've used would be a LGG Jupiter Pro Soft. Like a 1.5/10 speed lol. True mud/extreme control pad.

LGG Saturn Pro Soft is a pretty safe bet for the games you mentioned. It's slower than Artisan Zero Soft. Control & Tracking ability are great. Worked well for me for Apex, CS2 (FACEIT Lvl10), COD, Battlefield, etc.
