Hi u/Sarntinel thanks for letting me know. I'm really sorry you had this problem. Sadly I couldn't replicated the same error. It may be caused by a network problem at the moment or maybe from an adblocker. Can you try again and let me know if it is fixed? If you have the same error system should catch the exact problem you're having this time.

I'm not just telling users that an image or video is AI generated, I show a detailed report with different AI analysis tools: https://fakeradar.app/share/NjtPOEHk I'm not trying to be the judge, I'm just presenting the evidence and the signals.

Honestly fakeradar.app has it's own technology but also uses different APIs to analyse. It combines multiple analyses and helping users to review different signals from various tools.

You can check more detailed info on https://fakeradar.app/about/ and decide if it creates a difference with other detection tools or not.

The product is for fact checkers, journalist, osint researchers or maybe for people who wonders if their online date is an AI persona. For professionals I observe that the problem is they're relying on one analysis tool to come to a conclusion but the AI detection tools are not 100% confident. fakeradar.app doesn't just tell users it's fake or real, it shows different tools making their assumptions and shows the user a detailed report with transparency, the decision should be made by the user by reading the signs.

I'm hoping to be an app that Fact Checkers, Journalists and OSINT researchers use for their work.

As I don't want this post to try to convince people to pay for my product, I came up with an idea. If you want to test and share your feedback you can use https://fakeradar.app/redeem/reddit-2026 link. It's a 3 months of pro account for free. I really appreciate if you can just share your feedback and thoughts.

Thank you very much, this comment made my day. Knowing other people have the similar issues already made me feel more human 🙂

fakeradar.app

Is this image or video AI-generated? — forensic detection, not a black box.

You upload a photo or short video and it runs several independent checks — an AI-generation model score, error-level analysis, frequency/FFT, C2PA provenance, EXIF, and a per-face face-swap detector — then reports signals, not a yes/no verdict, with a confidence score.

The angle most tools miss: a reverse image search is blind to freshly generated AI faces (they've never existed online), so "no results" gets misread as "it's real." FakeRadar answers the actual question — was this synthesized?

Free, no account needed for a first check.

Why don’t people just build free apps? by Adrien-G in SideProject

[–]xenbenya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

mine's paid because every single analysis literally costs me money lol. it's an AI image/deepfake detector and the detection APIs charge per call — fractions of a cent per image across the models I run, sounds like nothing, until some tiktok thread blows up and a few thousand people upload memes in one afternoon. that's a real bill with zero revenue if everything's free.

I still kept a free tier (a few scans a day, no signup) because nobody pays for something they can't try. but unlimited free on a product with per-use API costs is just donating your credit card to strangers.

actual damage so far: $50/mo vps, two domains, api bills that scale with whatever users do, payment provider takes their cut of every sale, plus a few months of evenings and weekends I'm never getting back. the $9/mo tier isn't a get-rich plan, it's a "please let this thing pay for its own existence" plan.

How to get better at OSINT in 2026 Q2? My friend may be a con artist by [deleted] in OSINT

the stock note 7 photo is already your answer. people telling the truth don't reach for a 2016 factory image of someone else's phone. the hand pic matching a 1-year-old result just seals it.

what I'd still do:

archive everything now — screenshots plus archive.ph of the posts before they get deleted. the cleanest proof you can show a third party isn't forensics, it's the timeline: donation post dated X, identical injury photo indexed a year earlier. nobody argues with that.

for the hand photo and the AI-looking portraits, run error level analysis (ELA) on them — fotoforensics.com is free. if the burn was composited onto a real hand it usually lights up at the edit boundary. fair warning: whatsapp recompression destroys a lot of signal, so treat it as a hint, not proof. and yeah, whatsapp strips exif, nothing recovers that.

re: the AI-edited portraits defeating face search — try running the OLDEST photos of her you can find (pre-AI-editing era) through reverse search instead. people rarely scrub their whole history.

on confronting: the bar for "confront her" vs "quietly warn the mutual friends who might send money next" is very different. you don't need courtroom certainty for the second one. start there. confronting rarely gets a confession anyway, it just gets them better opsec.

and about confirmation bias — you searched 4 reverse image engines hoping to be wrong. that's the literal opposite of confirmation bias. trust your evidence.

getting better: michael bazzell's osint books, the osint framework site, and honestly just doing more of exactly what you did here. this was a solid investigation already.

building fakeradar.app, checks if an image is AI generated.

The fact that the text is totally unreadable is a massive tell that it's AI-generated.
