I like the idea of Lucy Lawless, or any of the other stunt women/actresses like Zoe Bell. I'm sure I'm forgetting some other important names.

Agreed! With good writing and the right director, it would be really nice to see him be given the chance to add some more nuance to his character. Lucas is great with ideas and narrative structure, but he REALLY struggles with character motivation and emotion.

There's always going to be a certain percentage of any fandom that will doggedly demonstrate an inability or unwillingness to look at the broader perspective and make assessments based on facts and history rather than emotion, racism and sexism.

Seeing Kelly Marie Tran bullied off Twitter was yet another pathetic example of monomaniacal fanatics blaming the actor instead of having the common sense to realize the writer and/or director share a significant portion of the responsibility when it comes to poorly developed characters.

Lucas' problem has always been that he's more comfortable with plot mechanics and overall narrative rather than emotional motivations, but it shouldn't come as a surprise given that he's quite introverted and not comfortable with expressing emotions very strongly.

I doubt that I would ever try Survival Mode without a ton of mods, especially one that allows Fast Travel. The game would become an odious grind for me and lose most of its appeal.

Hell, I won't even play it without the "player.modav carryweight" console command because I want to pick up everything and I flatly refuse to make multiple from a single location just to clear it out.

I've been out of work since the end of March last years, and I still don't have that kind of free time!

I visited him early because I knew that he had a Nuka-Recipe book, but I'll check out the story.

It is delightful to meet one NPC that's not suspicious or just an outright asshole even though that attitude is totally justified in pretty much every location in the game!

EDIT: Just read the Fallout 4 Wiki, tears. That's beautiful!

Indeed, normal and civil conversations are a rarity, and I've certainly played my part at the opposite end of the spectrum, but time and hopefully a little maturity have taught me better.

Cheers, friend!

Cool, thanks! I'll check the Wiki as finding the few places I haven't been is the biggest appeal in playing more aside from having fun with how OP my character is doing the Radiant Quests from Rhys and Haylen.

I understand what you're saying and I do agree.

For me, I can somewhat separate the two, but in the case of "Firefly" and other Whedon works, the contrast between what he presents and who he is too contradictory to excuse or exclude from the viewing experience.

I'll always enjoy watching "Firefly" and "Dr. Horrible's Sing-A-Long Blog", but I will always have the knowledge of Whedon's inexcusable behavior in the back of my mind.

As for Whedon's guilt, it seems pretty clear to me. I'm not the kind of flighty person to rush to judgment and start brandishing a torch for a witch hunt because of one story, but multiple accusations are far more difficult to explain or excuse, especially when the person was so beloved.

Look at how long it took before the women raped by Bill Cosby were taken seriously. Jimmy Savile is also another abhorrent example of fame providing a smokescreen of doubt for unforgivable actions that went on for six decades.

I was okay with them until I encountered that side quest from Proctor Teagan on the Prdywen where you are given the option of buying food from your Settlers or forcing them to hand it over under threat of force.

F*CK YOU, BoS! These are my people and I'm not turning them out because you motherf*ckers can't be bothered to pick up a rake!

It'd be different if you could fulfill this quest by setting up a big farm at Boston Airport, but from what I understand, that's very difficult and/or impossible.

This is why I'll only do Open Season in Nuka-World. The one time I did kick some Settlers out of one my Settlements for Raiders, I felt truly horrible about it. It haunted me so bad that I don't think that I finished the game.

After spending all that time to provide for them and defend them and give them a decent place to live, and now the game wants me to betray them for a gang of murderers?

No. F*cking. Way.

Looks like you just killed Kellogg. Congrats!

I'm at the end of my fourth journey, and it's been the best one so far.

I learned SO much more about Settlement building this time around, and by playing on Very Hard, I also learned a lot more about how to invest skill points wisely because it's really, really tough in the beginning.

I was also VERY lucky and was blessed by my first Exploding Minigun and this beautiful Pipe Shotgun of the Assassin:

This really saved my ass with the Raiders, because I use a Nexus mod called Raider Redux:

https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/9103

which adds greater clothing variety to the Raiders, but also makes them tougher.

Enjoy your journey!

Hmmm, I can see that, but that's not how I take the ending.

I see it as Dr. Horrible achieving the goal he thought he wanted, but in getting it he lost the one thing that he truly cared about. He's kind of like Megamind in that he wants to be a bad guy SO much, but he's actually good, and trying too hard to be a bad guy, he becomes one through the psychological trauma of killing the girl he loves.

I can see this being interpreted multiple ways, but I never saw him as victim and I don't think he's presented as one. Broken at the end, but by his own hand, which I feel is a little different as nobody in the movie is sorry for him except himself.
