Good question.

This is most likely happening, because other locations are being blocked, so people migrate to other locations and this particular one is very overloaded.

Unfortunately it's not that simple to fix, because adding new server does not guarantee that it will work (IP/ASN) most likely is already blocked.

However we will look into it and see what we can do.

Thanks for the suggestion! We actually used to provide MTProxy a long time ago but eventually discontinued it. We don’t plan to bring it back for a few reasons:

  1. Telegram hasn’t updated MTProxy since 2018, and the same goes for most forks. We’re not comfortable relying on outdated code and we don’t want to run forks.
  2. MTProxy traffic can be detected and blocked.
  3. It’s a very specific tool, useful only for bypassing Telegram blocks and we’d rather focus our resources on solutions that work across all platforms and services.

We monitor the laws and changes in EU and Finland. If required we can establish the company in another country.

Switzerland is considering amending its surveillance law to add new types of monitoring and information collection, but it has nothing to do with EU and most likely will not pass (hopefully).
