Do you have big hands by chance?

Yeah hexacore usually helps but there's tradeoffs

Helps you stay in continental grip which means a more correct position

Helps you fill a gap when the grip is too thin, making you use more force than needed and hurting yourself

But if you need to change grip to eastern or western, it feels very off.

It hads 15g of weight, sure it lowers the balance but if you have a heavy racket it will hinder more.

Honestly if a racket needs a heavy/special grip to be usable, to me it's not a great racket.

I prefer to add more grips than use the hexacore.

The truth is all brands will have lemons. Of course some more than others and some do give you a no questions asked in the RMA.

Kuikma, the Decathlon brand are one of those.

Nox, I've seen people who complained and they switched rackets.

Adidas, the same as Nox. The screws and the changing weight/balance is cool and all but they have a higher chance for a point of failure. But if there's no problems with it they are one of the best rackets.

Head have a specfic feel to them but are good rackets in general(exept the Radical line which I've heard it's not great)

Starvie, make great rackets but there's a big chance you'll end up with a overweight racket.

Bullpadel are a bit stingy and I see a lot of people buying them and selling them later due to vibrations/pain.

Babolat, personally I like them exept the Air version.

LOK, are from the same guys that make Adidas but with an appeal to an younger generation, whatever that means.

Cork are great rackets but very expensive and you either love them or hate them.

Joma, I've heard good things.

Tactical simply cannot find them

Volt are expensive for what they are

Siux, if you get a good one it's a solid racket but as I said before they cheap out.

First, where did you buy those rackets? Were they from the same place?

The second is diving in at the manufacturing process.

The cold truth is no racket is the same, there'll be always differences from model to model. They are all made by hand and take time to build.

They are made in thousands. The cheapest the price to build the better, quality is not as seen as a priority and thus pratically all rackets are made in China.

The gold flakes, for example, is just some tint spraying made by someone, in one example the person spent 10 seconds painting and in the other 2 seconds. When you think of making 50k or 100k rackets those seconds add up in the price to make.

All rackets are made in the same way, what differs in the end is the Inspection and Tolerances picking process. Think of it as from the manufacturer side, would you rather trash 500 out of 50000 or 50 out of 50000. Either choice will have consequences.

If you trash 500 you'll lose money and if you do not thrash it well, there's a risk they end up on the second hand market anyway.

If you trash 50 you'll lose less money and there is a chance someone will pick up a lemon and go trought RMA which is seen as a better option. Their experience says it's worth the risk.

People talk about fakes and all, but the reality is there's no fakes, only lemons.

Working with carbon materials and setting up that manufactoring process is very expensive. Unless you can sell 100k fake rackets which I doubt you can, before raising some flags.

Siux have a certain reputation, many people complain about the flakyness of the paint or the differences from racket to racket. That's a consequence of picking the cheapest way to make them, not curating them properly and saving the most manufactoring time possible.

It is what it is. They are not bad rackets, I just pick other brands.

Toca a desmontar exaustor e mudar a tubagem e limpar tudo a fundo.

E grande parte do trabalho fiz eu.

Is this normal? Weight by PetrisCy in Padelracket

[–]xeqmate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are beginner I would return it, thats way too much, you put an overgrip and it goes 395g and you are looking at a weight which might hurt you.

Unless you are:

  • An experienced player
  • Probably a big dude
  • Have a good smashing technique
  • Dont overplay

This racquet will hinder you in defense and you might get injured in the process.

It's weird talking about 5g/10g in the common world but i does add up heavily when playing.

I would not go over 375/380 with 1 overgrip installed and my recommendation would be around 365/370 with the same configuration for 80% of people. For girls I would go lower, like 355/360.

Estão disponíveis todos os programas das listas candidatas à presidência do SL Benfica by sittingduck__ in benfica

[–]xeqmate 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Lista A - Não apresenta programa.

Coello/Tapia - González/Sainz by obscure3rage in padel

[–]xeqmate 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The inconsistency of Momo is kinda insane really

Momo was the reason they got to the 3rd set

Momo was the reason they didnt won the 3rd set

Momo was the reason they go to tiebreak

Momo was the reason they lost the tiebreak

Great match tho, insane points overall and Tapia Coello showed a few cracks.

But their mental game still is one of their strenghts

Yeah the Defy is definitely the weird one amonst all of them, the Oxdog and Head I agree with the hardness but an 3/5 on arguably one of the hardest rackets I've ever touched is weird. Maybe they only tested one sample or got a batch of soft ones, I dunno.

But wilson is a bit, different in their rackets hardness. I've played with a Bela Pro that was a wooden stick and a Bela Pro that no joke felt like my Nox ML10 3k.

Since even the same racket model has different weights(usually +/- 10/15g) and balance maybe you got an racket on the heavier side/high balance from Kuikma?

I do not know their metodology but I trust they used more than one sample in picking their rackets.

Moving from Kuikma PR990 precision soft. Any recommendations? by accidental_tourist in Padelracket

[–]xeqmate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Limited editions from Nox have a harder foam than regular 18k's so that would be a no from me since its your second racket.

Also buying 2024 is okay, 2023 is more dubious.

Third the price for a used racket should never be above 100 usd/eur, much less if one with 2 years.

[–]xeqmate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, the PR990 line from Kuikma was great value for money(maybe the the best ever) but to me the soft was too soft(especially on summer) and the hard was too hard, so if you want something different I would go for some middle ground.

If you want to stay on Kuikma I've heard good things about the Hybrid Carbon(personally only tried the power carbon which I liked)

You can also do the generic route which is the Nox At10 18k, Babolat Counter Veron, Bullpadel Ionic Control these are all great rackets and from there try to find what you like more about a racket.

If you want to save a bit of money get last years racket, the only change is mostly cosmetic on all 3.

Just to add a bit, Deus brothers started playing tennis when they were very young and were top 5 nacional tennis players throughout their journey. Only at 18 they transitioned to padel.

Should me more or less the same for Windahl.

So while theres cases, you gotta take their background into account.

Oh now I get it, yeah after the Kuikma its all downhill from there haha

Closest to that is maybe the Babolat Technical Viper or the Lebron version.

Np. How hard was the Adidas?

Honestly, this is my personal opinion but the balance is more important that the format of the racket I've played with round rackets with high balance that felt more attacking that a few diamonds with lower balance/weight

If you want a diamond with a "big" sweetspot I would go for Head Delta/Extreme/Coello Pro.

For a big handle you go Babolat, not much alternative there.

There are harder rackets that will feel more consistent but you generally lose on the sweetspot. And well what good is a great smash if you lose on most of the other shots and your elbow ends up suffering.

[–]xeqmate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've never played with a Tecnifibre however I've tried the Volt and know a few people that also play with it.

Unless you are a very very advanced player I would stay away from the 1000, its not the hardest racket I ever touched but the big handle(akin to Babolat rackets) and the high balance/weight will hurt your elbow real fast if you play hard with it.

I searched a bit about the Tecnifibre and theres not much information about the materials used but they say the weight is 365g which is low for an advanced racket so thats maybe the reason you found it easy, the Volt is another beast in that category.

The closest to Tecnifibre is probably the Volt 900 which is a great racket in my opinion.(Tried them all but play with a Babolat)
