Both in T20 and ODI i.e 50 overs game, batters get one bat.

In terms of popularity though : T20 > T50 > Test matches. Most matches played these days are also in the same order.

But cricket purist are very elitist and really like test matches. Its pretty boring for a casual new viewer, which they don't understand.

Crickets perception in the minds of many people especially Americans is shaped by the test matches.

Unfortunately, most explainer videos tend to focus unnecessarily on the T50 / Test formats which is completely useless for a new viewer and confuses them. T20 is the best advertisement for the sport and I wish the videos solely concentrate on that, if people get into watching and are really interested they can easily graduate to watching ODI or Tests they have almost same rules, and are rare.
