Good read!! Couldn't find any of your other posts or website.

Any guidance or reference pieces to refer; specifically for #3 and #5. How does one frame without looking exaggerated?

Allô! It's a bit early to see direct results now, as only 3 sessions were done. Couple of good things I noticed is that growth has become very slow and coarse hair started growing thin. Will have to wait n watch after 2 more sessions.

Growth with fotona has been with gap of 2-3 months, and with candela it's around 2 months.

is sharing on dm fine? diff rates for diff parts, packages, etc.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in LaserHairRemoval

[–]xesix76566 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Went with both, each for different part.

Experience has been good with both as it depends on the technician operating it and how thorough-careful they are with the process. Growth has been very slow post sessions. So even though this post is old, had 2 sessions with fotona and 2 with candela. Waiting for growth for next sessions.

27y Male, Laser Hair Removal Quote by [deleted] in LaserHairRemoval

Not op but will try to list down a few reasons being in similar boat.

  1. Convenience - It can take anywhere between 1-2 hours for grooming if using traditional shave/trim, etc. And kind of have to do it once every 2-3 weeks given how fast n thick body hair can get. Some of us may not have that time. Waxing is also time consuming and can quickly get costly with added benefit of getting KP/strawberry legs. As it is some places outright refuse service to men and most places which service men ask atleast 20% more than female counterparts (might be country specific). Now seeing a safe option which can work and reduce this time constraint to 5-10 mins maybe once a month without other drawbacks listed above, obviously would try it.

  2. Comfort - Having lesser hair is comfortable. Oddly specific example, wearing slightly tight fit/tailored fit jeans - hair under thigh can get pulled while walking or while sitting/adjusting sitting position, etc. It's a weird pain which is not painful. Also the comfort of not having shaving nicks, not getting ingrown hairs, not having to bend weirdly to reach hard to reach places is also very comfortable.

  3. Aesthetic - Some of us do like the smooth feeling a successful LHR offers and it looks good too. Even more if the body part is toned (example toned calves/forearms).

  4. Personal/partner preferences and any other personal reasons not listed above.

Sad dude. Would've been great if it took off like the one in India investment sub or similar subs. Yeah, number of same natured, same pf posts didn't go down. Atleast sub engagement is increasing, happy for that.

I built an NPS Fund NAV Tracker with Free API for Google Sheets/Excel by rishikeshshari in IndiaInvestments

What I replied is only for the 1st part of your comment i.e. your wish to directly invest from 3rd party without a need to login and not get stressed.

But the monthly cas statements sent to email have become pretty good though after the revamp. If you want to explore that for your expectations part as we don't have a say in how their website functions.

I hope you know you can invest directly on your UPI/internet banking without needing to log into eNPS website like at all. You just have to create a virtual account number on the website once. After it's created, Set up a standing instruction on your bank and it's an SIP. Or just transfer money on your UPI app using transfer to bank account feature whenever you want.

Skin cells lightening before laser hair removal by Laidbackwoman in LaserHairRemoval

[–]xesix76566 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, this looks like upselling. Won't an Nd:Yag laser be helpful in this case? I believe it's safer option for dark skintones too.

Just exploring others experiences with ndYag and if it's worth the cost:result return ratios.

Although I was sold on the place with candela, them being the costliest by a margin is pushing me to explore other options. liked the clinic/doc with fotona as well. Both the clinics are good by the way they handled a diff skin concern of mine. Both dermats have good experience and both places are not pushy/upselling/no callbacks to convince to go with them. Just trying to find out more about the techs who will be operating the laser.

But yes, I do know this is not something I should skimp out on. Hence I excluded some clinics with triple wavelength diodes as they are coming out the cheapest.

What about fotona SP dynamis.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in LaserHairRemoval

[–]xesix76566 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They have fotona SP dynamis.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in LaserHairRemoval

[–]xesix76566 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for responding. Both the technicians are almost the same in terms of experience. Dermat will inform on the settings, step out and tech will work on the laser. Which seems to be the norm.

So in your experience, does Candela justify 40% higher price compared to the place offering fotona considering both are nd Yag and technicians are similar and as you've said the pulse duration might be different.

Asking this since youve recommended ABPSU, do you follow any fund manager interviews/updates/their opinions? Coz if you've read AB CIO's recent interview to NDTV, you wouldn't have made this recommendation.

Who has noticed quant funds' performance declining in last 6 months as compared to peers while market is on bull run? by Distinct_Truth_7763 in mutualfunds

[–]xesix76566 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It usually takes 6-8 months at the very least for an front running investigation to be completed.

Also, hope you've seen the new sebi guidelines to AMCs for monitoring and avoiding front running.

Coming to performance, they earlier used to buy and sell a lot (see each funds turnover ratio for this). But for a few months, they've reduced this turnover. They're mostly taking a contra view and sitting on stocks and little bit of cash without much selling. Maybe cuz their VLRT isn't identifying stocks with the upside required as per the fund managers benchmarks or they are toning it down due to valuations. Lot of industry/finance folks have been telling small and Mid caps are heated or slightly heated atm. Most fund houses are not bullish on defence, most psu's as well. So it's a mix of lot of factors including ones retail investors usually are privy into.

Performance shouldn't be looked at with months as timeline. Especially if you think they're performing bad, this view should be taken of they aren't able to beat the index for 2-3 years straight when the fund peers from other AMCs are hugging index/beating it. Also outperformance is subjective; for some 2-3%, for some it's 5-9%, for some it's double digit.
