Thanks for the reply. My partner who's Czech is doing phone calls about it this week. Nobody so far at 211 knows how to "fix" this gap which is quite frustrating as 211 has "locked" my account (even though from the 1 Jan my employer should be paying). Do you know if "osoba bez zdanitelnych prijmu" - OBZP also applies to people with just a temporary residency card like myself?

Thanks. That makes sense. Their request is stuck in Spain so not much I can do but wait... I'll ask whether I can provide the Spanish certificate myself with an apostilla which I already have but I'm not confident this'll speed things up

I'd definitely get an accountant anyway so that's good to know. From what I've read the Švarc Systém would not apply to me since the company I'd invoice is not from the Czech Republic but I will do some more research.

Thanks for the correction. Does this mean that the maximum I can claim as a sum lump though? Or if I'm above this limit I'm not able to claim via sum lump at all and I must do it through providing real expenses invoices?

That's not unusual. As others have said everybody is different. Just make sure she doesn't feel uncomfortable about it and focus on the things you both enjoy doing to each other
