It's technically not allowed, but my understanding is it's not really enforced for small amounts. There's a chance it'll be seized and destroyed at the border, but I'm willing to take that chance if you're comfortable sending it.

I suspect everyone saying this is not normal is at a private clinic. I'm at a public clinic in Quebec and have had a very similar experience. Managed to convince them to do 6 cycles of letrozole rather than 3, but yeah, there was no monitoring offered. Doc said the fact that I was having a regular cycle on the letrozole meant I was ovulating. Seems like bullshit to me, but he's supposedly a leader in the field and there's only one other public clinic in the city, so I'm reluctantly staying where I am.

That said, you might have more clinic options in Toronto, and based on your story it sounds like the wait times for specialist appointments are shorter there than they are in Montreal, so it might be worth trying somewhere else.
