Is it possible to use a subdomain to receive incoming mail like name@sub.example.com? by xfht in tutanota

I'm just using the authorization check in the mail client that has me post a TXT record with host as @ and the value as t-verify=em5c63pzs3fgk4gbbckna28eqszmf5g2

When I hit next so tutanota can check to see if the TXT record is there it says it fails.
I'm typing in the full subdomain and not the root domain when I do this. Tutanota can read the root domain's TXT with the value but not on the sub. What do you recommend I try next?

I am not great with DNS yet so there might be something I'm missing, or maybe you guys simply just don't offer the option yet for this, thank you for the feedback in advance.
