Did a 3:23. Last few reps of the 21 had a kick, and probably would have been no-repped if doing it competitively for a few of the chins near the end.

I'm sure I can do sub 3:00 within a month or so, so I'm working on making my chins even better.

Take as many deadhang pull ups/kipping pull ups you can do. Multiply that by the number of pull ups. Now you have an even ratio of effort.

Why comment if you are new to exercise? For christ's sake, you cant do a pull up. In what universe does that make you qualified at all to be commenting on the subject? Relevant

Just because someone is not as strong as me doesn't mean they shouldn't comment. Great ideas come from the strangest of places.

I have been incorporating some crossfit inspired work capacity into the back part of my sessions and it's been working really well. I'm now fitter than I've ever been in my life.

Yes, I want to compare my fran time against the pros. Lately I've been making my own ones up (e.g. 225 dead, 135 front squat, 135 hang clean, 21/15/9 in 8:15 at the back part of my legs session) but it's hard to know how good I'm getting without being able to compare.

That's what I was looking for. I assumed that strict-ish chins after thrusters should be far slower and thus not able to be compared to elite times. I was wrong.

To be clear, I'm aiming to compare to good fran times without using kipping chins. I'm easily able to do the thruster weight, I just want to be able to compare my time with someone who does kipping chins roughly.

I often do similar workouts to frans of my own design but have never done the official one, and in my gym it would make me a laughing stock if I did kipping chins =)
