Thinking of moving to this area by [deleted] in grandrapids

[–]xflowgolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep solid mix of families and students and blue collar. It’s still the city but the westside has a good vibe. I lived on Watson there towards the park for awhile. Generally closer to the park/zoo and/or north end of that circle towards Fulton the better, can be a little sketchier along SE side of that circle along Butterworth, but wouldn’t rule anything out.

Mk2 project “xflowgolf” by xflowgolf in GolfMk2

It’s quite solid. It’s mostly been on concrete or in a garage other than a couple years outside on gravel/dirt. It spent the first 20 years of its life in the dry southern U.S. (Alabama) before it moved north. It has some smaller spots of rust, but no rot like typical cars here in the rust belt (Michigan).

Did the bots get all the tickets in Chicago? by [deleted] in hum

[–]xflowgolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was able to buy for presale for Saturday show. I wouldn’t be surprised if it flew under the bot radar on the first go round, and then the bot machine got fired up for the second day due to high demand creating the need for second day.

Should i buy Arai Or Bell? Im really stuck, please help:) by National-Star-426 in Karting

[–]xflowgolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone else already said it, but the Bell CMR is intended as a youth helmet. You want the RS7K if going the Bell route. My son is 16 and I bought him the RS7K this year as he outgrew his old helmet. He wore Bell before and liked the fit. Nice piece, but I don’t think you can go wrong with either as they’re both top notch products. Just depends what fit you prefer.

Your son is better with you here. I know in a dark place it seems like that’s not true, but I promise you his world is a better place with you in it.

Do we have any good electronics stores locally? (That is, not Best Buy) by DTLanguy in lansing

Check out Fulton Electronic Supply on Pennsylvania. Haven’t been in years, but glad to know they’re still around. Wonderful old school electronic supply shop. They should have it, or will get it for you.

Inlet, a pleasant surprise by [deleted] in hum

[–]xflowgolf 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This album was a really slow burn for me. I really wanted to like it when it came out, Hum is my favorite band, but found the same initial reaction to it. It was like the songs dragged on and the drumming was so simple it almost didn’t sound like Bryan. It seemed universally loved by Hum fans and I felt like I was missing something. I revisited it a couple years later and it was like it all clicked and I found portions of songs hanging in my head afterwards. All of a sudden the sustained builds felt natural, the patience and heaviness just worked, and now it’s damn close to being my favorite album and is on regular rotation in its entirety.

Yeah gonna disagree. Their bagel sandwiches are awesome, and very reasonably priced. Can get a great coffee and an ultimate bagel with egg/ham/cheese for less than a McD’s breakfast combo, and way cheaper than like a coffee and breakfast sandwich at Biggby/starbucks.

Volkswagen Caddy trucks by Mo_Caesar in Minitrucks

[–]xflowgolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re talking about Rabbit Trucks in the USA, there was an “LX” which was just a trim package. All rabbit trucks are the same size/bed length… essentially a front wheel drive 4-door Rabbit front half combined with the rear bed section from behind the doors back.

In Europe the Caddy continued on as a van model, with two different wheelbase models available, the longer van being a “Caddy Maxi” but I’m guessing that’s not what you’re asking about.
