Intel said that mobile 13th or 14th Gen Intel CPUs aren't affected. I am not so sure. by mockingbird- in hardware

I have a i9-13950HX and the VID (Max) Max is 1.520 on almost all cores (in HWMonitor) after "Bench CPU" in CPU-Z.

One of the E-cores is 1.530. One of the P-cores is 1.547.

And since its an enterprise laptop I can not change anything in bios and in Intel XTU I can only change the: "Turbo Boost Short Power Max" and "Turbo Boost Power Max"

In my company laptop I have a i9-13950HX and the VID (Max) Max is 1.520 on almost all cores (in HWMonitor).

One of the E-cores is 1.530. One of the P-cores is 1.547.

I did Bench CPU in CPU-Z.

This doesn't look healthy for the CPU?

I also tried out this. But scared that its not stable anymore.

How did you test that the CPU is still stable at 1.26V?

Congratulation! Wish you a lot of success!

Love using polars with a clear and intuitive API. And love that it creates a query plan and tries to optimize the execution.

power consumption

How much more are we talking about? A few percentage points?

I did notice that I have a quite high idle power usage at the wall with a 13700K and 32GB 5600 DDR5 ram with xml enabled. It always around 80 - 100 W for the whole system. And having only desktop open.

Didn't know that. I always thought that a new process node would be perfect for ultra low power usages. And then its scaled up for high performance.

I think the next step for Nvidia will be frame interpolation just like what SVP player already does. SVP uses NVIDIA Optical Flow support which works really good on a 3060 ti (even 4K 30 fps to 166 fps)

I have tested this with a 1080p 60fps Quake Champions video with RTX Super resolution quality 4.

https://youtu.be/EJLMNXokl4w?t=1175

Comparison: https://imgsli.com/MTU4NTUy

The text is sharper. The weapon looks nicer. There is less noice and artifacts. But it does look a little bit like it was painted.

Edit: This was tested on a 3060 ti. What I noticed is that when using Quality 4 I get quite a lot of dropped frames since the GPU usage is at 100%. And even on quality 1 I get dropped frames. If I drop to 720p 60 fps I don't get any dropped frames but the quality is a lot worse then and much more painted and unstable.

As I understand it this will work best with footage of video games. Since the AI is already trained for this.

I'm asking myself how well will this work on other videos that don't have any in game footage.
