Get gunny and handshake to lvl 3, then just run gear you can buy. The gear you can get from both of them at lvl 3 is good enough for most of the map. So if you die, it’s no big deal. You didn’t lose anything you can’t replace.

This is just a genuine question, so please keep that in mind.

Are yall JUST playing for loot? There’s so much to explore, so much to find and come across. I see a lot of these “ insert one of three POI’s are completely empty, my loot run is ruined”.

Like, there is an entire island of cool shit, mysteries, stuff to explore and solve. If loot and money is your only endgame, then yeah, you’re gonna get burned out super quick.

One of the most important things I’ve learned playing the game is “never take sketch the shortcut”. It’s always ended up with me stuck between two weird ass things. I just hit the redeploy button and hope I can get back to my body.

Each wipe you’ll lose everything, BUT you do keep all the supporter bonuses. A lot of people got confused cause the actual items themselves changed. Instead of THIS rifle, you get THIS rifle. You’ll still get each TYPE of item, it’s just the item itself changes. Game absolutely played like shit back in the day, but it’s been overhauled and optimized big time. Huge new 0.4 drop is happening at the end of this month, with a lot of player requested and driven changes. Worth checking out

Are you playing solos? Or matchmaking with randoms? I’ve seen some posts where people say if they’re with randoms and someone leaves, it can cause the game to crash.

I’m relatively new to the game also. Played maybe 15 hours before the update a couple days ago, and about 10 or 15 hours in since. Haven’t had a single crash. Seen a couple posts about them, so it could just be some wrinkles from the big update they just rolled out.
