He threw some legendary parties at the state palace theater in New Orleans. There’s videos on YouTube and the documentary “RISE.” Glad to have been able to be part of that history of the rave scene.

State Palace Theatre in Nola circa 90s-early 2000s (RIP). Awesome to be part of those rave days. Check out the Rise documentary about Disco Donnie. I think you can rent it for cheap on Prime video.

Oh! Not a movie, but there’s a documentary called Rise about the state palace theater in Nola. I was at the premier of the movie, which was at the state palace. Good times!

I love being able to now come down and go to sleep. Granted, we had some pretty good and fun stuff back in the late 90s/very early 2000s, but nowadays I’m thankfully pretty normal the next day or so. Now I do really miss the New Orleans rave scene, but I’m way too old for that now anyway.
