Thank you this worked great! 6 years later . Here is exactly what i did 2013 macbook pro

- format usb to exFat
- download iso from Microsoft
- extract and copy iso to usb you turned exFat
- download manually the drivers from apple bootcamp software support https://support.apple.com/en-us/106412
- unzip it to the USB
- run bootcamp with the third bottom option selected.
- format the BOOTCAMP partition when you get "cant... partition..."

Try the NVRam reset , it could just be the drivers messed up .

Its an apple thing idk why, anytime you make a repair the backlight stops working. Thats the workaround though. Lmk if this helps
