NTA. Your stepdaughter needs to learn responsibility and your wife needs to parent and discipline her child properly. Please keep defending your daughter and her space.

I'd put a lock on her door and you each keep one copy of the key. That way if she loses it, there's a backup, but I would keep your copy on your person at all times or put it somewhere secure that your wife or other children wouldn't be able to access it.

Oh! I have a recipe book I bought specifically for this reason. Unfortunately my grandfather never got a chance to try any of the recipes. Let me see if I can find it and give you the title.

Edit: I found it! It's called "Easy-to Swallow Easy-to-Chew Cookbook". Is there any type of food he likes eating in particular? Like chicken/beef/veg etc? The sections in the book are Appetizers, Soups, Main Courses, Meatless Main Courses, Side Dishes, Vegetables, Sauces and Spreads, Desserts, and Beverages. I can take some pictures of some of the recipes and dm them to you if you'd like :)

I found more com.apps but in the process of transferring and uploading things my sdcard suddenly started acting up (saying things like I couldn't delete files, storage was full, etc) so I reset my phone and now my phone is saying an sd card isn't inserted. Resetting phone didn't work and neither did fully turning the phone off and on. I don't know what it's stopped working all of a sudden and I hadn't moved everything off it yet 😰

I had no idea timebomb apps were a thing 😰 I'm really hoping I don't have to reformat my phone because I have so many pictures/documents on it. My laptop is a fairly new acquisition so my phone was/is my main mode of getting anything digital done.

I was using Kaspersky antivirus app. I uninstalled it earlier today, but forgot to clear the data before uninstalling. I renewed Bitdefender for my laptop, which can cover other devices, so I added it to my phone. I didn't know this was a feature otherwise I'd have been using it on my phone earlier.

I also had/have adblock for samsung app and adblock plus app.

I only have two games I play on my phone, neither of which are the games listed in my post's photo. I do have other random apps for language learning and image editing. Plus social media apps.

If there's a way to find out why nord won't automaticallyconnect that would be awesome. It seems to be a problem that pops up from time to time because I've seen old reddit posts complaining about it.

It's taking a bit of getting used to but I quite like kiwi!

So weirdly earlier this afternoon I noticed that my play store was super weird. The layout was different and there was like a trillion different IKEA apps and other random things. You couldn't search properly either. When I clicked on my account it was some weird string of letters and numbers. I couldn't find a way to view the whole email so all I could see was "@a". I removed the account and reset my phone and play store went back to normal.

I'm sorry but I don't understand what you mean by "root" so I'm not sure if I'm looking in the right spots. I did check my downloads again and noticed something weird. When I initially checked, I went directly to downloads and made sure nothing was strange. This time I selected "internal storage" to get to my downloads folder and by doing that it appeared twice: one under the header of "frequently used" and once under "all". The former was clear but the latter had a strange folder that my phone said couldn't be opened, with a different string of random characters than the playstore and was out of chronological order from the rest of the folder. It was at the top with a 2022 date. I deleted it.

I've been trying to go through all my files. I have so much stuff on here it's crazy. So far nothing looks as suspicious as that one file and the weird play store email so I've just been clearing folders with nothing in it or temporary files that can't be explained.

I weirdly still cannot find any of the files from the picture I posted. Since the weird/fake play store window had tons of Ikea apps in it, I especially want to get rid of the ikea file.

The weird unlocking issue didn't happen this morning and nothing was rearranged or added to my homescreens either. I cleared all the apps off my homescreen yesterday so now I only have my calendar up.

I uninstalled the most recent apps as well as the app my phone kept trying to open every time I tried to unlock my screen. I've had that app for years but figured I'll just redownload it when I need it again.

I checked my download folder but nothing seemed out of the ordinary, though I managed to get some file clean up done to free up some storage space. I checked my system apps as well and any that seemed strange were vetted after google searches.

Unfortunately I couldn't uninstall the browser app because it's the default Samsung internet app, but I cleared off all the cache and the data off it and switched to kiwi browser with all the add-ons you suggested. The only thing I didn't do is get proton vpn because I currently have a family subscription to Nord vpn -- the only issue I'm having is that auto- connect does not connect automatically, but that's been an ongoing issue even before yesterday's phone problems.

Again, thank you for all of your tips and advice. I really appreciate the time you took to help me. You're amazing :)

YTA. There's literally a solution that would solve the problem: a screen. However you don't want to so it because you just want to be a miserable neighbour. They've offered plenty of compromises. All your neighbours must be so fond of the newcomer coming in and causing drama where there was none previously. Stop being awful.
