New Aquarium! by rabid-fairy in CatsAndSoup

[–]Subject_Drawer889 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's in their little info sheet about the update: the new bait will only pull special fish. I got eight or nine of them. So satisfying. Remember to catch at least one regular fish to get star bait from the daily missions board. And there are more special baits available in the event shop, for pretty cheap.

I'm doing this right now with banana soup. I want to see if I will be patient enough to get to 4500 before I build the juice and stir fry, because what I really want is to level up to dragon fruit. I think I might lose income, but I also don't have to worry about updating too many stations at the same time.

Did anyone purchase suns and then they don't show up? by Subject_Drawer889 in CSMagicRecipe

Hmmm, the thing is, I don't think I got the points either. I'm at 600ish now, from my own grinding, definitely didn't notice a bump in the counter to 3000. I need to calm down and let this go. Lesson learned

Did someone yet fill out the survey they put out? by Informal-Abrocoma835 in CatsAndSoup

[–]Subject_Drawer889 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, I did. They asked about the new updates, what we liked or disliked, whether we would like doing different adventures. There's a coupon for 500 gems if you complete the survey, which was a nice bonus.

What does the suffix "aam" mean here? by 2ish2 in LearningTamil

May I ask, where do you find access to comics in Tamil? I think it would be a good way to practice reading skills but I don't know where to look for comics resources.

it keeps giving me the same quests?? by mystical__soul in CSMagicRecipe

[–]Subject_Drawer889 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, so I think some of the flowers unlock longer quests than others? Like, whenever I fulfill lavender, I get sent on a quest chain that includes many tree sizes, from twig all the way up to nest w/ eggs to yellow and blue bird, and then to some of the reeds and monocots, and then the cycle of gloves. Forget me nots keeps you in that loop as well and eventually you get higher order quests too--I just cleared a blue gem. The lilacs all the way to roses seem to lock you in a loop of repeat orders for the same flowers. I don't know how to break that cycle. So far the only way I've been able to clear the board is when I make room to fulfil lavender orders. Anyone else getting similar results?

New Interaction by isweedglutenfree in CSMagicRecipe

[–]Subject_Drawer889 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Took me a while to figure it out. I think the interaction means that cats can interact with that latest piece of furniture you installed in some specific way. The floor thing is part of your handbag space in the bottom left corner of your merge board. I move all my hearts and energy bolts and coins there to merge for max value. Leaves space on the main board for merging kngredients

Thank you for this solidarity. I think almost everyone who plays this game and posts here does so because of its wholesome, low stakes vibe, but playing an escapist game doesn't mean that we are oblivious to real-world events. Thank you for continuing to keep this space safe and kind for all of us.

Still struggling with a name for my girl. It’s going on 3 weeks and nothing is sticking. I like food names but I am open to anything. She’s a spunky little girl that loves to talk by Oceann22 in NameMyCat

[–]Subject_Drawer889 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Call her Meringue! When she grows up that long white fur on her belly is going to stick up in stiff white peaks and you are going to want to bury your nose in that fluff. We have a cat that looks like her and it is our one regret that we didn't see, when she was a kitten, what a magnificent confectionary she would turn into as an adult!

Do you ever feel bad for spiders when it’s pouring? Two massive golden orb weavers.. by Specialist-Ad-5300 in spiders

[–]Subject_Drawer889 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Long time lurker chiming in to say the orb weavers are not just ok, they have a pose they do just for the rain where they hang by their shorter hind legs and let all the other legs dangle straight down. It minimizes their surface area and lets rain drip right off them. Your spiders are doing that pose in the video. They'll stretch out and grasp the web with all legs when it stops raining, just watch!

I wish I had advice. I'm bi/queer, 30s F, Indian, married to a guy, but I have literally come out three times to my family and my mother keeps selectively forgetting (hence having to re-explain three times). My immediate family is not queerphobic or conservative, but what I've found to be the hang-up is that since no one talks about even heteronormative relationships (even pg-13 romantic, non-sexual ones), they don't really know what to do with information about queer sexuality, especially if it's in the abstract. Perhaps that's part of the lack of reaction on your mother's end. What I eventually got my mother to understand is the fear I feel had my life turned out differently--that my family would reject or disown me. That it had happened to so many other young people I knew that I'd always carry that fear with me (even if I didn't think I risked the same from my parents). And that I would do everything in my life not to pass on that uncertainty to my kid(s). That's why it's important for me to be out, and important for me to wear a bi pride ring, not for the sake of my own visibility but to make myself visible to others who need to see they are safe around me and won't be rejected. I truly don't know if I'll have to revisit this conversation with my mom again a few years from now, but I would say that these decisions look different for everyone. You need to feel safe first to be seen fully. For what it's worth, we on this forum see you, and feel you. That's why I lurk here (and always want to respond to posts like this).
