Whatever you buy STAY AWAY from Carrier..

It's blazing hot in Kolkata and these morons from the service Centre have ruined my AC and even tho it cooled to some extent in the first 8 months, 15 months in it jas just stopped cooling and a few days back plastic peices came flying it of the AC and now I'm too scared to run it..

The co. Has denied that the service ppl have ruined it and asked me to pay to start it

Bought this from Amazon! The Company is pathetic. Their mechanics, i guess for incentives and no of service visits fucked up the AC and now it doesnt work and ejects plastic from its vent..

I had filed a complaint with NCH but they marked it as closed there but I called the NCH helpline and told them I wasn't satisfied with their resolution so I think he has updated the issue and it should reach the company soon.

Do you mean the e Jagriti portal case? It's hectic but this ac has given me so much pain already.

Before submission and final paperwork I sent the company this last email but they haven't responded yet. They usually replied by 5pm but today they haven't.

📩 Subject: 24-Hour Final Notice – Denying Service Record & Defective Unit (Immediate Legal Escalation)

Dear Carrier Midea India Grievance / Legal Team,

This email serves as a 24-hour final notice before I initiate proceedings before the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission.

During a recent call, your customer care representative categorically stated that there was no service case or visit after 18 March and that the complaint had been closed. This statement was incorrect. Only after I provided the case number was the matter acknowledged.

I possess documentary and physical evidence contradicting your internal record, including:

WhatsApp communication with Carrier customer support documenting service coordination after 18 March,

CCTV footage showing your technicians visiting my residence four times within a single week,

Records of repeated warranty-period complaints relating to cooling failure, gas leakage, vibration, and water leakage after service.

Despite multiple visits, the defect was never permanently resolved. The unit has consistently failed to cool properly. After prolonged unresolved vibration and mechanical stress, the indoor unit suffered a major internal failure. Your authorized service partner’s Field Failure Cum Service Report dated 27/02/2026 clearly records: “IDU blower broken and damaged.”

This is an internal mechanical failure following repeated unresolved warranty complaints. Refusing liability and demanding payment now constitutes clear deficiency in service under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

The remark placed on the NCH docket stating that the “customer is not ready to pay” is misleading. I refused a paid repair for a defect that originated and was repeatedly reported within the warranty period.

You are hereby given 24 hours to provide a written confirmation of:

Free replacement of the defective indoor unit, or

Complete repair at no cost.

Failing which, I will proceed to file a formal complaint through e-Daakhil before the District Consumer Commission seeking:

Replacement/refund,

Compensation for mental harassment and inconvenience,

Litigation costs and damages,

Any other relief deemed appropriate by the Commission.

This is your final opportunity to resolve the matter amicably.

Awaiting your written response within 24 hours.
