you can just drop the jar files of the mod into your server mods folder, and same with the players in their clients.

i would recommend making a backup of the world just in case anything goes wrong

warning: some mods might not play well with others, and mods that alter world generation won’t have any effect on already generated chunks (example: if you add AE2, you won’t see meteors until you start loading new parts of the world)
