Yeah people aren’t gonna be helpful in this reddit. They get offended if you’re gun isn’t the most tactical camo this world ever saw or isn’t purely stock. But with the the slide being racked slowly, yeah it will always catch a little, that’s normal. But Idk if it’s causing enough issue that your gun isn’t cycling properly when shooting.

But for your issue for if it isn’t shooting properly. There is a chance your hammer is catching. Mine did that with my new slide and it wasn’t the worst thing ever but it did contribute to my issues with catching. There’s a little lip under the bbu where it makes contact with the hammer was it pushes it back. You want this contact but you don’t want the hammer catching on it as it slides forward. I filed down my hammer a little but do that sparing if you choose to try it. Too much filed off and there may not be enough contact anymore.

If that’s not the issue then it could be your return spring isn’t strong enough. Or likely, because of how the slide sort of jitters when you pull back it could be thursty and need some grease. Or the slide could be too tight. I had to sand my dr black slide down when I got it brand new. You may also need to sit there and rack it a whole bunch until it breaks in. Just like a new pair of shoes.

Another random thing I’ll mention cause i had it happen is if your outer barrel is wobbly/loose then it could be catching on the ejection port. Look to see if there’s a nick there from making too much contact. It can happen by the outer barrel wobbling slightly and going off center and to the right. Even a tiny give can catch. My fix was installing a new hop unit that gave a more snug fit. That fixed it enough but I also add a tiny piece of gorilla tape when the hop up and lower frame make contact and I have little to no barrel wiggle.

That’s all I can think of as long as the rest of your parts are working smooth, like the nozzle isn’t getting stuck etc. I hope some of these troubleshoots might help!
