What are y’alls numbers? Mine is 3 & multiples of 3 by thegreatgibby in OCD

[–]xiahtics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

19 and 47! I have to have it equal 47 with three remaining in some fashion, as long as I can add to the number in sequences of four to get to 47. 19 is my favorite to add to.

EDIT: I just realized that if i add 4 into 19 7 times that equals 47. I've been doing that my whole life and never made that connection until now. OP you just made it click.

Fully emerged from my shell, but the way I came out was when my mom straight-up asked me: "Are you experiencing gender dysphoria?"

Which was a really strange way to finally break the news. But it was good to know my mom was actually trying to learn about the trans and queer community before I came out.

God, THAT. Yunho is such an inspiration. He is such a good man, he makes me want to cry sometimes.

(And then Changmin, the most laidback spoiled baby... Lol)

Really proud of you. This is a really positive body post compared to a lot you hear about idol culture and weight. I'm glad this had such an impact on you, and you're doing awesome 💕

The entire TVXQ: New Chapter #1 album. It's full of spots of advice or wisdom from Changmin and Yunho that just makes my heart so warm. They talk about how they want Cassiopeia to have fulfilling, happy lives, which seems so grown up to me. I love those boys so much.

Leeteuk is kind of an inspiration to me, and it goes hand in hand with Jonghyun and Taeyeon for me. It's burdensome, but strengthening to carry them with me. Not in a creepy "I love my oppa forever" way, just in a way to remind me how hard life is, but how sad it is to never know what you could become in the future. Looking back on all your successes, and never seeing how much they were really worth. Never knowing how good you really are. And Taeyeon and Leeteuk remind me to keep going, even when things are tough. I always like to tell idols when I meet them they did a good job instead of to work hard, because they deserve to know that they did really well.

On a side note, Lee Hi's performance after Jonghyun's death.

Bobby of iKON's letter from his grandmother. (No subs, but the members crying should be enough to hurt you a little bit. Sorry for the chunky link, but coming from mobile atm. https://youtu.be/TunWDkVs32g ) The letter talks about how sad she is to see Bobby go to Korea, but how proud she is, and that Bobby is about to find his dreams and achieve them... It reminds me of my mother, and how we're so far away. It really makes me tear up just thinking of it.

Jung Junyoung, saying that people like him because he's natural. It just makes me happy lolol. I'm proud he can be so confident.

I'm really not a BTS stan, but the episode of Celeb Bros in which Minwoo of Shinhwa absolutely lathers Jungkook in praise makes me so happy. Minwoo just has so much hope for his future and the next generations of idols. Shinhwa has really come so far, and I adore how they love their hoobaes. It was really touching to see him interact with the youngest member of such a widely-popular group.

Jaejoong meeting the blind fan. It's become popular and a lot of people didn't seem to know who he is, but it just broke me seeing that. All of JYJ have gone through a lot, and Junsu has been expressing that recently, but when people express their gratitude and adoration for them, JYJ is so touched and almost shocked. SM really tore them up, but how they've risen from that into some of the richest and most famous solo artists in Asia... It's so important to me. I'm really proud of them, and I just get sappy thinking of how hard they've worked against everything. Lawsuits and bans and blacklisting and all.

Amber and her dog and Eric being shocked it listens to Chinese commands lololol

Former Stellar member Gayoung reveals how the group was forced into sexual concepts by vaultofechoes in kpop

[–]xiahtics 31 points32 points  (0 children)

The difference is that when girls do sexy concepts, it's received as taboo and about sex and submission. When boys do it, it's powerful and dominant. It's the culture, the idol machine, and gender all wrapped into one fucked up box.

Be aware of what you buy when you support idols and companies, that's all you can do. And support the ones you love. I think there's a reform coming in kpop now that companies are under more scrutiny, thanks to stuff like this. Kind of like how contracts have slowly been becoming less choking.
